I'm incredibly happy for this video. We just got Megafauna after Origins and rty to figure out the rules. Lovely video created with a lot of passion and love for the game :)
Thanks for this. Here's the thing: I don't feel like this fully prepared me to play, I feel like it made it possible for me to tackle the rulebook. Awesome content! Earned a sub.
Thanks! I'm waiting for my copy to get delivered in a week and this video was recommended right on time. Greatly explained and TBH it seems much simpler than Bios: Genesis. That being said, it is probably not an evolution based game for area control fans, but an area control game for evolution fans. Or simply, a game for Eklund fans; the man puts in so much replay in his games that they are practically works of art.
I watched the Heavy Cardboard playthrough, read the rulebook, played a multihanded solo game, watched this, and I finally feel like I might be able to play this game after abother go at the rulebook... another multihanded solo is needed before I can actually teach this to others.
At 35:49, what does the dice icon (showing 6) inside the down arrow mean? You moved the craton down only 1 latitude, so I assume it doesn't mean "move the craton down to latitude 6."
i feel like i could have used a lil bit more explanation about how the core mechanics of the game works and have all the extra details at the end. like when you covered the event phase it would have been nice if you explained exactly what the images on the card meant so it would be easier for us to reference what other cards meant rather than kinda going through and explaining each and every possible card's scenario. or better yet a sort of legend showing every symbol on the cards and what they mean in simple terms
Good video but emmm... the game seems complicated. In fact I suspect actual life evolved in less time than it would take me to understand how to play this.
Thanks, help enormous to get started with the game. Finally the rulebook starts to make sense

After you've tackled the rulebook, you should make a TH-cam rules walkthrough - its the only true way to solidify an understanding these ones! 🤣
Another great Bios series video! Thank you for all your efforts!

You're a legend for making this video! Fantastic work!
Thanks for the how-to tutorial of this very complicated game! Would love to have this game one day! Love biology and science!!
I absolutely love these BIOS videos. Helpful, clear and well explained. I hit the subscribe button as hard as I can! Thanks!
Legend 🙂 Thank you so much!

Look, in all honesty - if you manage to successfully teach this one in front of a live group you'll be doing better than me! 😂 All the best!
Wow, thanks for covering this gem!
I looked up "Pic of centipede that goes hard" and now I am here.
I love your videos buddy, thanks a lot!
Always a pleasure!

Great video!
Thanks a lot, great intro to megafauna
Cheers, very glad you found it helpful :)
thank you!
To make this video easier to follow I decided to enable close captions...
It recognizes you talking as korean...
Make of that what you will
Clarification: Endotherms are species with at least 1 white cube and/or size 6. Don't have to have both requirements.
Ahhh, good pickup - thank you!
@@BitsOfBoardthanks for this clarification
A video comparing the differences between the 4 bios games would very interesting: Genesis, Megafauna, Origins and Mesofauna
That would be very cool indeed. Shall see how we go once I get my hands on Mesofauna!
Looking forward to your Bios Origins video!
Oh gosh, me too. That one is going to be epic!
Same here!

This is my favourite comment ever 😂 Thank you for watching!
