In your journey thru the closed jewelry store gems I am looking for Gold disk charms to engrave for my grand daughter like we used to wear on gold necklaces (some had round, Mine was a teardrop shape ,) unfortunately mine was stolen in a house break in mid 1980’s (Miami) . This jewelr reminds me of the family store that we had in Westchester they were so awesome thank You for taking us along it’s amazing
Oh! I will look I bet they could be there! You are smart to think of it, something like that is entirely possible :)
I just saw the talk with the jeweller, that is creating the ring - and I just wanted to warn you, that putting/attatching a diamond on a prong is not a good idea, because it will easily snag on things, and might cause you to loose the center stone.
Thank you Rasmus Mogensen I feel like I have to change it now ❤️
@@HUDSONVINTAGE I just watched a bunch of reels, on what setting to choose for engagement rings, or any other ring, you plan to wear alot. And it kept comming up, that if your stones protrude to much, they or the prongs will easily snag on anything, and even platinum will give, so that stones will be lost. I would instead turn the main stone half a turn and set the diamonds in an assymetric cluster on each side, but level with the main stone. Maybe even add one more coloured stone, smaller, and a different cut, than the other 😁 Thats just a suggestion 😉 But I figure, its a ring, you are creating for yourself, as a jewellery collector - with pecious stones, you found. So there is a story, too. That ring should be a bit of a statement 😁
Bags and Bags of goodies.. Can't wait for the auction.❤ #6
Ges. Gesch. is the German abbreviation for copyright or trademark. It’s not the name of the designer. It’s just meaning that the design itself is trademarked or copyrighted.
The cuff links are signal corps.
Yes, keep that Chrome Diopside and Ethiopian Opal ring, it's gorgeous!!!!
I think I must :)
You are wonderful and I can't wait to see your next video! I love the Ethiopian opal ring. You should definitely keep it. It is so wonderful that you have Dan to go to with your jewelry needs. I can't wait to see your ring that he is creating for you. Take care.💜
That is a gorgeous set
Yay !!!
Magnlflcent, all of lt! Stay fabulous 💗✌️🙃
Wow-- a lot of great pieces to look forward to coming up 😍🎉🌺
Sind die Ohrringe keltisch ?
How do I get to online shop
Hi! hudsonvintagefinds.com
The piece at 3:00 with the pearl may be Chan Luu. I have some old Chan Luu earrings with the exact same design in a different color scheme.
ummmm turtle?!!!
What is the green stone in the center of that opal ring?
Wonderful rewatch.❤
Great information - thank you!
I look forward to the auction or sales for these treasures 😊.
Dawn, do you ever come across Sherman jewelry from Montreal? It is gorgeous jewelry.
I love Sherman!
Nice vintage pieces but keep in mind they are costume jewelry, I work for a jeweler, I know.
She knows that.
Does she? I believe there were several mixups with the stones, until she realized they basically were cz’s . I’d like to know how many people believe they were purchasing blue topaz etc to later realize they were synthetic.
With the pieces that are much older, it is possible that the store would occasionally buy "estate" pieces.
Or do trade ins, I remember doing those at that time it was much more common
You really have a great jeweler. Okay this new group is oohlala.
Can't wait to see the auction
Bring on the sale and auction 😎
Finally able to watch this! So much fun seeing all of those exquisite pieces, I especially love the mixed metal set ,the one with the Thomas Mann vibe. When I redo my tourmaline ring it will be more like that ,rather than your gorgeous redo,my hands are old😂❤
Just love to see you get so excited. Oh oh look at this one look at this one. 🥰
🤗
I love all the jewelry in this video. The ruby bracelet was epic. The jewelry sets in boxes were wonderful. The ring you were wearing was exceptional. You make such fun videos, and I learn about jewelry with your expertise. I wanted to be a fly in the store and look at the beautiful jewelry. Dream job !Thanks Dawn
You were right on about the silver necklace and the pendant I love silver I’m a silver expert I know silver, but just looking at it I could tell you if it is or if it isn’t
The flag pins are military flag pins possibly from the 1920's.
Ok I'm in
I'm in
those pieces at 6:26 - possibly military..looked like a sword and two flags?
The frame on the cameo brooch is just beautiful, as is the little antique onyx and seed pearl brooch! Great video!!!
Oh those cameos❤❤❤❤
The jewelry ❤is awesome and your jeweler very kind and knowledgeable 😊😊
Sitting here drinking my coffee enjoying your video immensely on my day off! Living the life!
I don’t know why it’s going down fast , I don’t know what I pushed to make it do that
Dan, Dan. He's the Man!!!
Who helps us with our plans :)
Ges Gesch is the German equivalent of the English phrase, patent pending. Somewhat similar to a copyright mark.
Ha! Thank you for telling me
The turtle is gold and the stone on it it’s emerald like a jade
First bangle lovely.❤❤❤
I have that exact same ring that looks like topaz which I inherited from my mother. It’s Italian gold. Did he tell you what the stone was?
He said he was not sure
I look forward to your videos 🎉❤❤❤
Ges. Gesch is not a maker. It’s the Germany abbreviation for Gesetzlich Geschutzt which means legally protected. So it’s like patent or copyright.
ah ha! Thank you!
@@HUDSONVINTAGE you’re very welcome!
❤
Is gold filled and gold plated the same thing?
ok think of it this way: Gold Filled is marked with it's gold content and can be scrapped at whatever the marked % is. Gold plated can not be scrapped in most cases. There are designer gold plated watches that have 11 microns or more of plating, and I think those can be scrapped, but it depends on who is taking it.
can i purchas the cameo set,?..the old one
Coming up on Wednesday!
I enjoyed it thanks
I'm glad!
Hi Dawn
