PS2 version uses arranged and remastered versions of the original Atomiswave songs that were compressed down for the Naomi sound chip. It's likely the composer (Kennosuke Suemura) decided to do some additional changes to certain songs to make them pop out more compared to the arcade version. One of the unfortunate casualties was the loss of the wah-wah guitar on this song.
@@mgm6229 holy shit, stupid weeaboos everywhere ... do you realise that Japanese LOVE western metal? not to mention that Hokuto No Ken is inspired on Mad Max? ...
Only the first 20 seconds slightly resemble that track. And just if you really wish to make the connection. Plus the rest of the track is absolutely different.
@LordAzanko I think it's because your version is from Atomiswave . Is it mono ? PS2 version has different guitar instruments . I don't know what format Atomiswave uses though :( PS2 uses .int format ( Raw Interleaved PCM )
The only way is to record it manually using Audacity or something similar while running the arcade version on an Atomiswave emulator. It's fairly simple to do, just tedious.
Well, there is a MUGEN version. The average PC/laptop can run it no problem. Just get yourself a USB Fighting Stick, and you're ready to go. Just don't pick Kenshiro as one of the players in Watch Mode, though...his AI far outclasses everyone else's.
Souther as seen in this game was the main inspiration for Utsuho Reiuji in Hisoutensoku.

Why would they replace the "Guitar with the wah-wah effect" from the Arcade for just synth sounds here?
Quite a shame
That is damn shame! The 1st 30 secs of the song is epic!
The whining of peasants. The emperor doesn't recognize your cries.

yeah, that beginning sounds very similar. Probably the creator was inspired by the Metal Gods.
I knew i wasn't the only one
Anyone know where to find the arcade version?

I'm sure it's rippable via dump, but just never got around doing it.
Can u play this on pc?
Not legally. It was an arcade and Ps2 game so you will only being playing it on PC if you can figure out how to emulate it.

The PS2 Arranged sounds so much more worse than the AW Original
