I'm not really into fighting games but i love when they make references with the characters' alt skins like this, it seems like a really fun and creative way to pay tribute to a piece of media you love. I know i'd probably do the exact same if i made a fighting game :D

Pom has a mareep and grolwithe skin, and a wooloo and yamper skin. Arizona has several skins that are references to the cans of different flavors of arizona Iced tea. Paprika’s ten ton magical alpaca in appa from ATLA, and her emporor, is kuzcoks lamma form from the emporor’s new groove. Tianhuo has two spyro skins(I think one is fro Pyro the dragon and the other is the ledgend of spyro), and a cynder skin that someone else told me isn’t Cynder, for some reason . ‘Welcome to die’ is a magneto skin, And the skin you had fighting up there at some point, is supposed to be a coral snake, or maybe it was milk snake. No one should be faulted for not knowing that one tho. And Im pretty happy that bowser was recognized on the vid too. Im blanking on what feels like at least 3 more tianhuo skins. Pom also has a marvin the Martin skin, and a bluesclues and Steve skin. Shanty has a Bismuth from stephen universe skin. Oleander has a Joker skin caller Arkham, as well as 2 more ponies than trixy, Vinyl Scratch, and Queen Chrysalis. I feel like there’s at least one more oleander reference Im missing, too

It references Mayday from No straight roads, forgot the super meat kid skin reference, the skin lightning rival is a also a reference to absa from rivals of aether. I'm not so sure about it is a mystery skin for pom. I think it's shaggy from Scooby Doo. And what time is it skin for pom is finn from adventure time and the dog supposed to be Jake the dog.

I can’t believe Tian’s “River dancer” palette didn’t get mentioned. It’s Mizutsune from Monster hunter. And one of the best skins in the game imo. I believe velvet also has a Virizion skin
