If my roots were fully grey, id let it grow out. But I've got some very bright white hairs and it makes my hair look undone. But totally grey hair of any shade is beautiful when it's all over

And I have been adding to it the glaze cherry glaze colour gloss conditioner and it makes it so nice.
I really like it. Roots possibly need slightly toning down a little as a bit lighter. But shocked by your partners reactions little uncalled for. Do what the hell you want!

Red hair is a lot of work in the summer. If you don’t keep it covered the sun takes it out fast. I colored mine light auburn for 30 years so I was always aware of the “fade”.
I think your hair looks great it warms up your face. As for your bf he just doesn’t like you to change anything about yourself. I’m pleased you like it and am doing it for yourself so good for you.
