Exactly! But those are things that casual fans, haters, and analyst that get paid to tell you otherwise don't see or notice. What I hate the most is when you got a so called analyst talking about Tua's always throwing to wide open receivers without giving any kind of contexts as to why that actually is. Yep I watched RedZone and it made me feel even better about the Dolphin's offense. I did notice a ton of dropped balls as well. So much credit has to go to this coaching staff, all of them & the players who have all bought in and are playing unselfish football. It's a beautiful thing to watch WR putting as much effort into rubs and blocking down field and running backs pass blocking with everything they've got!!
Miami's receivers rarely gets hit hard. Especially from the front. I think that has a lot to do with Tua's high completion percentage. And he's also keeping his receivers healthy. The Dophins are feeling good about themselves and that's why we are seeing great effort by the whole team. Contrast that with the the recently shameful effort by the Packers.

"He's too small" "He's a scrambling qb, not a throwing qb", "His arm is too weak to be successful in the NFL", "Just wait until he plays against Johnny Unitas, he will be crushed". Doug, The reason I have no problem with any of these QBs is that almost all of them can be effective with O-line, weapons, and play calling. What separates Tua and Burrow from Herbert is that THEY both experienced the greatest success at the collegiate level - both won the national championship. Both played under pressure and won it all. That’s a forge of fire which Herbert never experienced. The best weapon any QB has is the matter between his ears. Winning a National Championship is not REQUIRED but I think if you are a high performer for a National Championship team, it’s a damn good indicator. For a 2nd year player, Burrow had that strength and experience to draw upon in the Super Bowl. The moment wasn’t too big for him. I don’t need to hate Burrow or Herbert to respect and admire Tua.
Tua is an extremely decent and respectful individual... he has gone through very difficult issues with the front office, Flores, injuries and yet he is still fighting and can become an MVP caliber QB...is not only Hill, Waddle and McDaniels...why did the Dolphins LOST the three games Tua did not play???? why if he is only throwing passes to wide open receivers??? I thought it was funny when Steven A said Tua just throws 5 yards to Hill and they run the rest. I find it funny because Miami is one of the bottom teams when it comes to YAC. Which means most of Tuas success just hits his receivers downfield in between tight windows. That’s why defenders tackles the WRs so quick therefore eliminating the YACs
Just a point about the Tua pulled from the game narrative. He was pulled twice, not multiple times as Brandon states but the second time (the one Fitz won with the fluke pass with his head ripped off) was through injury and he missed the next game. You never hear anybody mention that.
The first time (vs. DEN), Tua was benched "for performance" directly according to Flores himself, but Fitz threw a game-ending INT and lost anyway. Tua missed the next game against NYJ due to injury. The second game where Tua was benched was vs. LV, where Fitz threw the Braille Mary. Fitz was ruled out with COVID for the next game vs. BUF. Flores definitely sabotaged Tua, but you have the timeline wrong.
All fair points, but Tua would have checked that ball down instead of going for it like FItz did. Maybe not now, but in that situation, he would have hit the underneath guy for about a 9 yard gain.

The overarching reason for the national media's dislike of Tua is they don't like to be proven wrong. The argument of any QB can run that offense was actually proved THIS YEAR!!! One veteran in Teddy Bridgewater and a rookie in Skylar Thompson and both didn’t look anywhere close to decent with that offense. Doug, The reason I have no problem with any of these QBs is that almost all of them can be effective with O-line, weapons, and play calling. What separates Tua and Burrow from Herbert is that THEY both experienced the greatest success at the collegiate level - both won the national championship. Both played under pressure and won it all. That’s a forge of fire which Herbert never experienced. The best weapon any QB has is the matter between his ears. Winning a National Championship is not REQUIRED but I think if you are a high performer for a National Championship team, it’s a damn good indicator. For a 2nd year player, Burrow had that strength and experience to draw upon in the Super Bowl. The moment wasn’t too big for him. I don’t need to hate Burrow or Herbert to respect and admire Tua.
Tua is an extremely decent and respectful individual... he has gone through very difficult issues with the front office, Flores, injuries and yet he is still fighting and can become an MVP caliber QB...is not only Hill, Waddle and McDaniels...why did the Dolphins LOST the three games Tua did not play???? why if he is only throwing passes to wide open receivers??? NOT he is making that Team Better! Teddy could not do shit with the same team... So looking forward to the rest of this season....

Love this video by Brandon, one thing there seems to be a misunderstanding about is that Fitz won a lot of games when Tua started, Fitz only won the Raiders game and lost the Broncos game, only two times Fitz came in.

I thought it was funny when Steven A said Tua just throws 5 yards to Hill and they run the rest. I find it funny because Miami is one of the bottom teams when it comes to YAC. Which means most of Tuas success just hits his receivers downfield in between tight windows. That’s why defenders tackles the WRs so quick therefore eliminating the YACs

Just a point about the Tua pulled from the game narrative. He was pulled twice, not multiple times as Brandon states but the second time (the one Fitz won with the fluke pass with his head ripped off) was through injury and he missed the next game. You never hear anybody mention that.
The first time (vs. DEN), Tua was benched "for performance" directly according to Flores himself, but Fitz threw a game-ending INT and lost anyway. Tua missed the next game against NYJ due to injury. The second game where Tua was benched was vs. LV, where Fitz threw the Braille Mary. Fitz was ruled out with COVID for the next game vs. BUF.
Flores definitely sabotaged Tua, but you have the timeline wrong.
All fair points, but Tua would have checked that ball down instead of going for it like FItz did. Maybe not now, but in that situation, he would have hit the underneath guy for about a 9 yard gain.

The overarching reason for the national media's dislike of Tua is they don't like to be proven wrong. Some of them would rather stamp their foot on a flaming bag of dog squeeze than admit on air they were incorrect about a point they previously made.

What kills me is when people say he’s throwing to wide open guys. To me that’s a slap in the face to the playcaller/coach who is scheming it up and after you dissect the film it’s an even bigger slap in the face to the QB who’s anticipation and timing skills are throwing to the spot where his guy should be to give him the best chance to make a play.
And his eye manipulation to move defenders off their spots to open a window is pretty dam impressive.
At the time all those things people were saying about Tua are true even his trainer said that Tua was terrible last year but this year he became fully healthy and is throwing wayyy better
Tua’s is one of the nicest in the league. I’m glad we have him. Love him. And I haven’t respected anyone more than Dan Marino. Dan’s always been my favorite. Tua is a close second.

It’s crazy cuz I’ve never left the Tua bandwagon. The worst game people can point to is the Pittsburgh game and that’s him coming back. The argument of any QB can run that offense was actually proved THIS YEAR!!! One veteran in Teddy Bridgewater and a rookie in Skylar Thompson and both didn’t look anywhere close to decent with that offense. Tua hate comes from people that aren’t wowed by accurate throws or greatly placed balls. It’s all downfield throws. Or across the body throws. Watching Tua throw a perfect ball to the back pylon was literally my climax moment. Not a dink and dunk, but a perfect throw for a tuddy was euphoric.
