Nijo Castle Cherry Blossom Light-up Projection Mapping 2024 Kyoto

At the Karamon Gate, an Important Cultural Property, and the inner moat, spectacular projection mapping of cherry blossoms in full bloom will be performed, and at two locations in the Cherry Blossom Garden and Seiryuen, the cherry blossoms will be gorgeously illuminated to enhance their beauty!
There are about 300 cherry trees of 50 varieties in Nijo Castle, from early bloomers to late bloomers, and as of March 7, 2024, the scarlet cherry trees had begun to bloom, although they had not yet started to bloom.
As there are many different kinds of cherry trees in bloom at different times of the year, you can enjoy the cherry blossom scenery that changes from time to time.
Even if the cherry blossoms are not in bloom, the lights alone are enough to enjoy the nighttime cherry blossom viewing experience.
