You should really consider setting up a P.O. Box for people to send you old stuff. I am sure plenty of people would love to see collectors items like this in good hands. I have a couple of early 90's MTN dew bottles that were sold locally in the Huntington WV area from a Marshall University promo. Just throwing it out there. Really glad to see these type of videos again.
I was helping my grandfather clean out the cupboard, and I found several things that he and my grandmother bought while preparing for Hurricane Katrina. Really cool.
I found a box of National Geographics from 1917 at a pay by the poud thrift shop last week and bought all 8 - was like they didn't even know what they had. There's advertisements for White Star Lines in most of them.
As a Swede I feel a strange kind of pride that surströmming is the stinkiest thing you've opened, and I'm guessing it hadn't even gone bad or anything.
The last time I had to wear one of those respirators, I worked at a cemetery crematorium. Yeah, even with the respirator on you could still smell a decaying body.
You're right, cats being obligate carnivores need more animal specific protein than dogs. Plus, cats need taurine in their food since they can't produce it on their own.
You need to be very careful, using a window fan reversed, might help you to remove the nasty gas from the room. Also, wear gloves just in case you have a small cut in your hands. Thank you for your video. I found it interesting.
Hi, I confess that not only I am happy to see your content but I learn pronunciation watching and listening to you. I'm from Argentina & I study English, I want to be a teacher, and I enjoy so much 😆 and learn from your content. Thank you!
I discovered your channels a few years ago. They are consistently some of the most interesting videos on the platform. Your content is fantastic Don't change a thing, Post.
I saw this thing last night about how when using a clamp and crank can opener it's easier to cut the can open by clamping it onto the side of the can rather than the top or bottom, and then the entire piece of the can pops off after you cut it
Just the other day I was wondering if you have ever done a video with pet food and here it is! That was immensely entertaining! Good looking cat too! I Hope he survived the wretched stink!
Its going to make the whole house stink again, like the Spam. Be careful! Looks like worms were squeezing out! Yuck😮!!! I love this content! I wonder what guests say when they come over and smell these smells!
Lol, I love it bro! You said it was pooping and it really did look like it was. Always enjoy when you open old canned items, and this is definitely a first 😂👏
I forget the name of it, or where it is, but they have a research and development center for dog food and other products, that's been around for decades. I think it's in the Midwest, somewhere and it's run by the company that owns Pedigree dog food. I saw a TV show about it years ago. It's the place where they figured out exactly what a dog's nutritional needs are and what foods they like best, because they didn't really know much about that back in the day. It's basically a large kennel facility where they have dogs living there and breeding for generations. They have a large area where they roam outside and they treat them well. They also test different toys with the puppies to see what they like best. I think they've done research that's resulted in the average lifespan of a dog being longer now than in the past, because they figured out what the most optimal diet is for them. It's interesting because when I was a kid in the 90's my elementary school library used to have this really old dog care book that was written by a vet in the early 60's. They also had another book by the same guy, about cats, that was from the mid 50's. I used to check them out all the time. They both had chapters on what to feed them because a lot of people were still cooking for their pets back then because commercially produced food was still a new thing back then. I don't remember, but I think it might've said that you should feed them things like meat, rice, and eggs. It mainly covered home cooking and the author only briefly mentioned "those new canned foods. A friend or neighbor uses one of those for her cat and she has pretty good results." I remember that's what it said. It also said to use sand in what we now call the litter box, because apparently litter hadn't been invented yet in the 50's. It was such an interesting book. I wonder if my old elementary school still has it because they hardly ever throw anything out.

Ever tested vintage Carnation dry creamer & Ovaltine for their true shelf life? They won't be gross or have any ick factor for viewers, they're just really nostalgic products from childhood. But gross items do get a lot of clicks, so an old can of cookie dough would be interesting.
A dog opening that can of dog food is kinda similar to us opening a can of food made 600 years ago, I know canned food didn't exist that far back in history, but it's an interesting analogy.
If you want to measure the pressure you could use a pressure gauge threaded to a rubber tipped (or needle tipped with rubber gasket) grease gun fitting, an L bend and maybe a C clamp to hold it? If it punctures the can and forms a seal quickly enough you might get a fairly accurate reading. Thats what i would do anyway. Love your vids man 👍🏻
I remember this brand of dogfood. I had cats and dogs but never bought this food. I remember reading years ago that cats need taurine for their eyesight which dogfood doesn't contain. They could go blind without it.
The kitty's name is Smokey according to Post. He also used to have a dog named April and I am trying to find out if he still has her or not, especially since he has posted many yard videos lately and she is not in them.
The reason cats can't live on dog food is because cats don't make their own taurine, it is the same reason cats can't survive on a meat-less diet, but dogs can. Pet food manufacturers put extra Taurine in cat food for this reason.
I didn’t know cans could shart. Exceptional opening! You have the best content!
😅😅😅😅
😂😂
That 60 year old tin of dog food certainly didn't have the best content lol. Great channel.
Shart 😂

Does anyone else laugh uncontrollably at his comments and the things he does? He comes off so serious with a sense of humor. Love this guy!
I really do 😂😂
Yeah, like Tyler tube
As a long time fan I just gotta say that I don't think most of us would mind if you took these potentially nuclear cans outside to open them 🤣
i think he could use a fan for the smell 🤣
NO, it has to be done in his science lab!..

I have a 1970s can of Schlitz
I have tons of old cans that I’d love to see him open !!
I have a Chocolate Nut Roll C-Ration from October 1970 that I would send him
I'm so old that I remember when this brand was sold in stores. 😊
I always enjoy the slow-mo zoomed-in flush
That's so original and hillarious at the same time
I swear to God 😭😭🤣🤣🤣 So hilarious
still looks better than school food
Whatt're ya crazy? Has school food changed so much in 17 years?
I quite enjoyed all my school food and I went to 14 different ones. The salad bars always slapped!
Depends on when and where. School food 30 years ago was meh, but I bet it didn't smell like rotting chicken leftovers and soy powder.

Gott med surströmming 😋
Lmfao XD
He actually said the Spam was. He didn't really think that fish was too bad. Watch that episode! Lol
he said the spam is the worst. so bad that the smelly fish didn't even compare
Hmm, that's not good. We gotta up the stink on our fish then.
Also...I need a shirt that says "IT'S POOPING IN SUCH A SKINNY LINE!!!" omg this killed me!! 😹😹😹
The cat is so beautiful!
Are you talking about the one on the can?
it's actually satisfiing to see the dog food climb out of the can in the little chucks, it like they're saying FINALLY WE'RE FREE
Soon as it popped, every cat in the neighborhood was at this hero’s door
The last time I had to wear one of those respirators, I worked at a cemetery crematorium. Yeah, even with the respirator on you could still smell a decaying body.
Clean up is almost as interesting as watching the food squirt out of the can. Also, all replays are excellent.
Haha when you smell it, doesn’t the mask workthen?
The cat it beautiful ❤
His cat or the one on the can?
I'm anxiously awaiting the episode where you don a Hazmat suit 😂🤣😂🤣
Your channel gets me through a lot, thank you Posty for everything you do!
Hopefully you can make more MRE videos in the future!

You're a brave man for opening that can without gloves on
The guys from either American or Canadian Pickers would be in heaven with this guy. He is definitely a treasure trove
Awesome, very different, probably much harder to find vintage animal food
If you ever get married your wife will be one of a kind lady.
He married to cans.
I bet that smell made even your cat throw up🤣

Thank you for showing us your happy purring little kitty. Made me smile so much I love cats SO MUCH
I remember feeding that same food to some hunting dogs we had in the 60’s.
A clamp and crank can opener might be easier to use for those kind of cans.
Thank you for sharing another awesome opening video with us!
I saw this thing last night about how when using a clamp and crank can opener it's easier to cut the can open by clamping it onto the side of the can rather than the top or bottom, and then the entire piece of the can pops off after you cut it
I use those and they are the greatest for tough cans.
You know it's going to be nasty, when the can itself doesn't want you to open it.
❤ два года смотрю ваш канал! Очень успокаивает! ❤❤ Обожаю смотреть дизайны банок, я обожаю дизайны консерв!😅 Привет из Сибири❤
You know it’s bad when the protective gear comes out
This has to be one of the most exciting openings you've done! The way it squirted after the initial opening had me laughing so hard.
You always bring a smile to my face. Even with your gas mask on you look fantastic. Thanks for always making my day. 💜💜💜

Have a great evening, POST and everyone!!!
I love that your cat made a guest appearance! Great video!
"It's pooping a skinny line" I can't be the only one that laughed more then I should have when he said that lmao.

Ah, the good old days when dog food cans could empty themselves...😂
You've become more natural on camera, it's great. Love the enthusiasm

This was a wild ride! Adorable cat 😺 So glad you're back making vids!

This has got to be one of the most exciting cans that you have opened in a while
"Oh, it's pooping!" 😅
Please Posty, you must use protection gloves when dealing with gross stuff!

I only found this channel today. I am laughing and almost puking, but I cannot look away. Great content man.
This channel just came on my feed. I love old stuff! Where do you find these old cans?
Ah, yea! The "perfect" thing to watch while eating oat porridge in the morning. 😋🙄
Great content as always. And bonus points for seeing the cat. Too cute. Unbelievable how that can was so in tact.

04:24 I guess that it was the trapped air that made the food poop out. What it you had opened it from the top, wouldn't it let the air out first?
"It's pooping!!"
This channel is great
I enjoy watching you open canned goods from when i was a kid. I like the commercial grade stainless steel sink you have in your bathroom.
OMG I can't believe you used to bare hands to open that can! What if it cut you?
