- Shields was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Theresa (née Dollinger) (1905-1998), a house cleaner, and John Schmon (1904-1983), a chemist. She was of German, English, Scotch-Irish, and Welsh ancestry.[1][2][3] In 1964, she married Francis Alexander Shields. The couple's only child, Brooke (born 1965) became a well-known actress.[4] Several months later, they filed for divorce.[1]
She acted alongside her daughter in Wanda Nevada, Endless Love, and Backstreet Dreams.[5]In 2009, Brooke Shields announced that her mother was suffering from dementia.[6] On October 31, 2012, Teri Shields died following a long illness related to her dementia, aged 79 - Wikipedia

Nicole Brown Back in the 80s terms of reference were different to how we speak them today. It was quite common to use the words ‘ get off’ in a really light and casual way. It didn’t have the weight of what it does today. Everybody was more innocent then and didn’t always know exactly the meaning of what they were saying!

The beauty of teenage Brooke Shields is still unrivalled to this day in my opinion. She makes the actresses and supermodels of today look like shit compared to her, and that says something as there are some seriously beautiful actresses and models of the present time.
That face, my God! Such clear and defined features, like a true angel on earth… Sadly she just did not age well in my opinion, and started to look more and more like a man from the tender age of 20 and up. Mom, an alcoholic, has an awful lot to say...when one sees their child as a paycheck, it's hard to believe when she says, "the best for her"...more like the best for herself. Unfortunately she was divorced and the fathers family had tried to get her to terminate the pregnancy. It's complex, thes child actors in general, but, in Brookes case, the level of exploitation for the pleasure of pedophiles...unconscionable. As Brooke has said more recently, she was very good at compartmentalizing, growing up with an alcoholic mother plus, that she was good at separating herself from her body. This aspect is true beyond what most people ever want to admit. This interviewr is deluded from the start she has established Herself as a sex symbol at an early age and taken risks sanctioned by her mother. As if her lifelong grooming in the industry was her own doing.

Brooke is just stunning, not just her inherent beauty, clearly that is obvious and could never be disputed, but her gentle nature and her genuine down to earth charm. It would appear that she has no idea how much power she has over people, especially men, my god I melted when I saw her just now, and bearing in mind I had only heard her name before, but never knew what she looked like until now when an older friend introduced me to her existence.
The other important factor to consider, is that this is from an age where people were not having plastic surgery, botox, etc,,, like they are nowadays, she really is 100% naturally beautiful, and 100% naturally charming.

To be honest, I always thought Brooke Shields was incredibly beautiful, very nice, and a bit bland. On a recent trip her memoir about her mother was laying around so I read it. I couldn’t put it down. It moved me to tears, over and over. Her mother was an uncontrollable, intelligent , hardworking , flawed , selfish person, with a serious drinking problem that shaped Brooke’s entire youth and adult life. It’s almost unbelievable to me how stable and kind Brooke Shields is. And her charisma in her films, her natural ability, make it clear it she should have been in quality films all those years. Pinball? What a waste. A Room With a View is more like it, she’s a seriously gifted performer. I admire her so much, as an actress and as a person.
