CDS Assures Of Peaceful Conduct, Warns Trouble Makers Ahead Edo Governorship Poll

  • As preparations intensify for Saturday's Governorship election in Edo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies are displaying a high level of readiness to ensure a seamless and credible process. INEC officials, alongside representatives of various political parties, have inspected sensitive electoral materials for the election at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN office in Benin. The election materials are expected to reach all the 18 Local Government Areas, where they will be transported to the Polling Units on the 21st of September. Meanwhile, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa has warned those with the intention of disrupting the election to leave the state or face consequences of their actions.
