Seems like they debunk and un bunk regularly … it seems to feel better right after .. maybe it’s just the hydration but I say whatever works to get you in the habit 🤷
They did debunk that window theory but he is still right, your body should get nutrients after a work, there just isn’t a specific window you will get the best results but most likely within an hour of working out.
its safe to say you should be ingesting protein quickly and consistently for 24 hours after a work out in order to maximize protein synthesis and not leave any gains on the table. If you wait til the next day to get protein you probably won't be growing much
Not necessarily true. How much did you eat before the training session? How much protein was in your preworkout meal? How close to your workout was your preworkout meal? How long exactly do you plan on waiting before your post workout meal? How much protein do you eat in a day? Are you in a calorie deficit or surplus, or maintenance? There are many questions to be asked before you can say that not eating shortly after a workout will make you not grow much
Actually newer research shows it’s the protein intake within 24hrs is what matters and there rly is no such thing as anabolic window but hey who gives a fuck
Put in a super good workout and tell me you aren’t hungry right away and then also these guys are building muscle so they are eating so often that they have to eat directly after a workout because they just spent at least a couple to few hours from the last time they ate.
Assuming you had some protein at any point in the day (and even the previous day) beforehand, no. It takes 24+ hours for your body to fully digest any given food, including protein. That's why it's important to make sure your protein is high on the daily/weekly scale versus focusing on the hour level
The sad part about him is that a few years ago, despite If he was on gear already, he looked way better, now he just looks enhanced, his arms looked buff but now they just look veiny and abnormal
@@dis4980 Yes, some food takes more time to digest than other but that's not what I'm saying here. I'm saying that your body is never "craving these nutrients, craving the protein" because there's always nutrients, proteins, passing from your bowel into your blood flow if you ate food less than 5 or 6 hours ago. The only depleted things after workout is water and glycogen but you're producing glycogen all the time. Some proteins like casein will last even longer, that's why some people use casein before going to bed, to get amino acids in their blood flow for the next 8 hours of sleep. You don't need to wake up in the middle of the night to drink a protein shake to avoid catabolism.
Finally someone who gets it … carbs must be replenished as thats what was depleted during the workout… protein is overblown as the be all end all of post workout
This is not real. But it can't really hurt. I don’t bother with shakes. I find them only necessary if you can't hit your protein goal for the day. But there is no anabolic window. You don't need to eat after a workout.
Anabolic window isn’t a thing; debunked over and over again. If you’re juicing like he is, it MAY be more hypertrophic to have protein sooner than later.
It’s doesn’t take 24 hours to digest. If that were the case you wouldn’t be getting energy from your food. Now eliminating undigested food from your large intestine can take some time for sure but digestion is not just pooping. It’s a little more complex than that.
@@Patty100ish It does usually take at least 24 hours to FULLY digest a food though. Yes, some digests quickly. Particularly, the carbohydrates are absorbed the fastest and that's the boost of immediate energy. Most protein is absorbed between 1-6 hours depending on the type. And you usually consume fast and slow digesting proteins in conjugation. Even after six hours, some is still left to digest. In any case, the body is smart af. We didn't always live in a world where food was immediately available. We would've have survived if we went weak and catabolic that fast. I followed an OMAD diet for a while and had probably the most epic gains I've ever had during that time. If it was true that you need to consume protein every four hours, I would've looked like total shit and not seen the crazy gains I did. Meal timing is seriously low in terms of the hierarchy of dietary importance when it comes to muscle growth. Almost everything else matters more. It just matters that you consume enough protein on the daily level.
It’s been debunked that you need it right after your workout, there is no catabolic effect. Your body will never eat muscle after a workout, but still it’s good to have a shake but even better is cream of rice and some protein in it. Fast carbs and fast egg whites and after that a real meal.
This guy still stuck in the 90s 😂 "anabolic window bro" 😂😂😂
I know, those 90s bodybuilders didn't know what they were doing
But.... still looks better than you ever will he must know something
Sadik still reading Muscle & Fitness magazines from 2009
I thought we debunked this years ago😅

@@James_Edward59so it’s not debunked then
Honestly. Like this guy has an insane physique, but his knowledge is next to none about nutrition. I’ve noticed this recently
Who debunked it?
You need simple carbs and whey isolate after your workout.

Sadik is the best! Love your channel!
Bs or not , I feel better if I have a shake straight after

Have u ever built a good amount of muscles yourself?
Put in a super good workout and tell me you aren’t hungry right away and then also these guys are building muscle so they are eating so often that they have to eat directly after a workout because they just spent at least a couple to few hours from the last time they ate.
Does the body go catabolic following a workout if no protein in 20 minutes post workout?? 🤔

I usually have a beer after workout
You have 1 to 3 hours to ingest protein after a workout. Try to stay anabolic as much as possible.
Don't forget carbs to help replace water stores and absorb the nutrients
Let’s get a quality review from you in your new supplements . Detailed info on ingredients and why it’s best to use them and when

Doesn't matter
All these professionals in the comments just repeating something they heard.
Same. And I am always starving anyway!Grab the protein drink so I don’t get hangry 😮😅
No....yours is craving another cycle
Bro that's not how digestion works. You are actually absorbing food that you ate 4 or even 6 hours ago. It's a really slow process
Not protein powder or sugars. Complex foods sure.

If u consume Intra carbs and aminos you’ve already fed the muscle while training. This only goes for those who don’t take them .

Yessir facts! Also 15-20 gummie bears right after training for that dextrose! Game changer
You should NOT be doing this if you’re not shredded. Body fat already acts as this so let your body regulate and burn it

if your goal is to maximize your progress you do need to eat soon after a workout instead of clowning around
All wrong xD. Timing does not matter. bro science
Guys in prison don’t do this and they’re jacked
they have illegal drugs. lol
@Bitcoin_Gold yea herion they just eat mad unhealthy shit they can get their hands on

those protein powder are gimmicks People. if you want real protein eat whole foods.
It's just dehydrated milk powder lol, perfectly good form of protein
Isn't your body craving glycogen post workout?

How the fk can this dude still think like this. And he’s a coach. Spewing outdated nonsense 🤦♂️

Food takes 24 hours to digest, so what you eat for the day doesn't get used up until the next day, but to each is own
