I can't even be mad. Lead You On is also one MGK's most powerful songs. THOUGH you still ought to check out See My Tears
It's a powerful song. I haven't been through an addiction but I think I understand how addicts feel, the simultaneous love and hate for themselves and the drug that he portrays in such detail. This doing has helped a lot of people I know in EST who were addicts, knowing that somebody else felt the same way they did and went through the pain.
Addiction feels like nothing you can explain. Its pain yet love, its hatred yet acceptance. Its horrific, and beautiful. I just hope that nobody else ever finds out how it feels. Its the most bittersweet feeling in the world.

@@carolelukes2672 I'm just saying the song (according to people who have lived it) accurately portrays a lot of the emotions that addicts go through. I'm in no way trying to say that I know how it feels. It builds empathy for people who haven't, and it builds fellowship (knowing others feel the same) for those who have.

I really appreciate you actually giving kells a chance. It's so easy to disregard him because of the beef with slim especially as a stan. so thank you for swimming past that and actually seeing who he really is
At one point in his life he was homeless and an addict and he turned it around, how can people not respect the guy.
This is fascinating. I've been an MGK fan for ages, but somehow I've not seen this track. It is extreme, broke my heart! Seeing this part of his evolution makes me understand why he felt the need to take on the Big Dog of the industry. I can't help but wonder if there was an undertone of self destruction to that diss track. Just to see if he can set himself another hurdle to survive. And he did. So much respect.
This was the song that gained my loyalty as a fan of mgk. I found it a few hours after megan (the chick that runs the page of the original post) put it up.
It hit so hard for me as an addict who has struggled with depression, and alcohol and heroin drug problems.
Definitely a deep listen.. I struggled with addiction to IV drug use for over 10 years and I can say I've felt that way at times during active addiction. Now I'm 6 years clean and sober, a little over 6 years actually, and I will never look back. Definitely some of the worst times of my life. My daughter saved me 💯. She's a little over 5 and a half years old now. I have devoted my life completely to her and my wife. Stay strong MGK and ANY AND EVERYONE dealing with this monster. It's not easy but it is possible to make it out. #livingproof

So personally meaningful for me. I’ve been listening to MGK for years and his music has gotten me through my own addictions, rehab-the good the bad and the ugly😓 . I especially love, but always struggle to get thru this song particularly because, of the metaphorical way he describes his relationship with “her” (Heroin) and the grasp or chock hold it has on his daily seconds, mins and life…I used to be controlled just like that. My life was never my own. I was a puppet to my drug addiction and never knew if I’d wake up Tom. Such a masterfully written song and so powerful. Still love it as much as I did the first time I heard in the back
