I told someone a month ago - posted on another TH-cam channel - that getting back to his foundation’s work was a likely factor for his wanting to get back to South Africa. I’ve talked to Siya - it was after the 2019 RWC - about his foundation, and it was clear to me back then how important that was to him.

He is a quota, overseas he is faced with reality that he is privileged and has zero talent! You welcome to argue but please do show this endless pool of black talent that overseas scouts are buying up every year, it does not exist! And with the current bela bill schools are now faced with lack of funding from parents, our kids don’t want to be sidelined under BEE like we were and are today! So essentially sport is just another thing that is destroyed by Africa the perpetual victims

@@RickySchenk-q9b Ridiculous comment. I’m hearing multiple neutral commentators in places like England, Australia and New Zealand calling him one of the greatest test match captains in rugby history, and he just had an outstanding match against a very good New Zealand team, not only because of the try he scored or the turnovers he was responsible for or multiple dominant tackles. Quota? Zero talent? It’s OK to critique a player, but try looking at the facts instead of spewing preconceived notions or biases.

Guys, it’s one thing to state the situation in SA in private, another on the Net. Unfortunately it’s not because of the people, it’s the ANC that brought SA to the current state, and about time the people in most need realize they should never again vote for such a criminal party. When the citizens have to support society, total disgraceful ANC. I live in Canada now, and will never stop wishing SA the best for all its people. Boks are where they are because all of South Africa now fully admitted, true rainbow team, very happy for the country as a whole.

You’re crazy. This is where you lose most back people. When the ANC was advocating for inclusivity in sport, people like you complained about quota’s in the sport. Let’s not rewrite history but reflect on the facts - on of them being that Mandela of the ANC wore Francois Pienaar’s jersey in 1995 back when popular people like Uli Smit of the Blue Bulls openly said that black people cant play rugby.

Siya went to France to end his career on a financial high but hated the culture and wanted to focus on his foundation. He has always loved SA but also only found out after he left he won't be allowed to captain the team he loves anymore, the Boks.

Obviously he still had alot ot adjust to since French rugby is very different, but he had to adjust to the culture aswell (which is none existent at R92) his wife didn't like Paris aswell which didn't help lol
I myself would not play for a coach who publicly shames me for being fat etc and go back to a country that loves and appreciates me.

@@jj56x7.5mm I think you're just negative to be negative, let's ignore everything he's ever done for this country, let's ignore his Kolisi foundation, let's ignore his 2 world cups, let's just hate and assume things about him.
He's been very open from the start about everything in detail, especially how much being captain for his country means to him, he tried France so that he can retire comfortably and it didn't work out, now he's made a great deal with the sharks to come back since he loves Durban and it's people. And who cares if he goes to Japan, he deserves to retire comfortably, he's given us 2 cups you spoon.

i am a Kolisi fan, but i have to say its not a good example to allegedly jump out of a contract and some one else has to bale one out.
There are consequences . But hope all turns out ok. There might even be tax implications
