The version I have is much older, but with an added win condition. Along with four in a row you can also have a four block square (2x2) Quatro as well. Very fun game and very under rated.
Try playing ANTI quarto where you LOSE the game by getting a Quarto so you try to AVOID it and FORCE YOUR OPPONENT TO GET ONE. However, play it with the four in a square win condition also working (otherwise most games will end in draw). 4 in square and 4 in row has so many ways to form a quarto that even if you try to AVOID it it will often not be avoidable. Another variant: POINT SCORE QUARTO where you score one point for each quarto you form. If you form them in multiple directions or positions (if square quarto is allowed) you get a point for ALL of them and if the same group of 4 satisfy the condition twice (for example they are all tall and all black) then that counts as 2 quartos. The game only ends when every piece has been played and to prevent a draw the very first player to form a quarto gets a special bonus of half a point.
the like is at 420.... idk if i should like it or not.... the video is good but 420...... sorry guys the video is too good i'll keep the 420 pls don't ruin it

The new version says this win condition is an optional variant

This is quite an interesting chess variant, but is en passant allowed?
Pawns are removed from this game, therefore en passant is not allowed.
Yes, but only if the taking person already has castled his white short hollow square
Pawn is not allowed to capture, so no
Its a tic-tac-toe variant
@Priyanshu Chatterjee
This comment is a joke.
Great! It's Tic Tac Toe, but actually playable without drawing every game.
tic tac toe can be played without drawing too but its not offical
@@Humulator what do you mean?
Lol
@@gulgaffel like you can cut out 5 O's and X's and reuse a board
@@Humulator They meant drawing as it being a draw, no winner.
Love the concept, at first i thought it was gonna work somewhat like chess lol
it's connect 4 the second
I honestly really love this game
My dad actually hand crafted a game of this and called it quatro instead of quarto. Amazing game and one I still play.
Are you in or from Latin America/Europe by chance?
@@danolantern6030 No. Upstate NY.
@@adamwatson.1848 Really? I'm form Utica and I never heard someone call it "quatro" instead of "quarto"
So simple and cool!
Looks like a good game. It should be more popular. And also I would like variations of that game if possible.
Any chance we might get a "How to play" on Kickstarter games like "Northgard: Uncharted Lands"?
Huh, what an interesting idea!
Neat, it’s like higher level tic-tac-toe
i remember playing this game on msn messanger like 17 years ago lol
Finally a game I have
is this a solved game with either a winning/drawing strategy?
googling it says yes it is
Picking a piece for your opponent is an interesting mechanic
Interesting game
Does this lean towards draws if both players are good?
Wouldn't any game?
@@revimfadli4666 some games allow you to force a win if you play correctly.
@@FlyingSagittarius oh yeah, those drawless finite games?
So it's tic tac toe 2.0.
Nah, Connect 4: Survival Mode - Hard Difficulty
Please do Pylos
I have this game 😀
Ok
This is just Connect 4 on Hard Mode
Ah, yes... Kwarto, the Filipino word for room.
Yes
It's a loanword from the Spanish "cuarto", but we have it spelled more similar to the board game's name so...
Seems like tick tack toe Uno! but with 4 layers of complexity and they mispelled Quattro! Looks interesting
They didn't mispell It
"Quattro" means four, "quarto" means fourth
"ROOM!"
Tic Tac hard mode be like
ROOM!
"Quarto"😎😎😎!!!
Xtreme tic-tac-toe
