    If this is the only quilt you will make in your lifetime, this is a good way to do it. My opinion is paper piecing is great for that one illusive block you want to get perfect. But to do a whole quilt where each block is only 3" square, I don't think so.

    Thank you! Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for a way to make these blocks without paper piecing.

    Great video! Thank you! Do you have any help for us for a bigger block like a 9" x 9" or a 12" x 12"? I want to make a big one and feel it wouldn't be as heavy of a quilt if the pieces were bigger.

    I have been looking at thIS block forever. The pieces are so small it scars me! I like the paper piecing method. Is it possible to make the template larger and still come out square? Thank You for all of your instructions!

    Its great except I am having a bad time with the wedges for the triangle. I destroyed a bunch of fabric trying to do this thing because I don't know how to make the wedges. I tried just covering up the wedges on the paper, but there were still holes. Do you have a tutorial on the wedges? How did you cut them. I went to see but they just appeared already cut.

    • @teresadownunder
      @teresadownunder  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can make yourself a larger wedge to cut the fabric by printing it at 110% or whatever size you can manage

      The diamond block is one of the hardest to make [ two pies on a square x 2 ]... I've been trying for years to find a easy work around. This block is needed for the Storm at Sea pattern, which is so versatile and unique. I do not want to spend an hour or more to make one block. Paper piecing and pie rulers have not been the answer or solution.
