Man, as a recovering addict myself this one hit home!!!! Salute for Telling the story it's not easy. Takes time to be proud enough to talk about it gotta drop the guilt first. What worked for myself was growing.
I like this dude’s attitude, totally relate as someone recovering from oxy, that shit takes a toll and will make you literally waste years of your life. Smoking definitely helps stay off that stuff for me, it’s not the only part but definitely a solid part of why I’m still clean off pills. I’m on suboxone right now, the lowest dose possible as I’ve tapered down since starting and he’s right, it really helps a lot and it’s not like methadone which sedates you, but methadone helps for people who are deep deep. Just gives you that extra push when you aren’t strong enough on your own that day. I’m almost ready to get off it completely but I know myself enough to know I’m still at a point where a relapse is possible, gotta be honest with yourself.
Addiction sucks, its not fun waking up and realizing you wasted the last 5 years of your life getting high accomplishing nothing. Not to mention the pain and stress it causes your family, and the situations you can find yourself in. Looking forward to hearing the rest of this guy’s story but 20 mins in and I already appreciate this interview a lot.
Shoutout to FSOTD for facilitating good conversations about addiction and letting him break down how it happens, that part of it doesn’t get talked about publicly enough, everyone thinks they’re special until they’re not. Listening to this smoking an A1 batch of blue zushi 🫡

I had 20 months until this year, at 6 months now and really have the feeling that I’m done with it all, never felt as strongly as I do now about never touching those pills again, it’s not an option and I refuse to let it be. 4 years is a lot, that’s very inspiring for me to hear and I love hearing that someone fighting the same type of battle is going strong! Thanks a lot for that 🙏🏻

I agree 95% with what he said about sour / the market right now. I agree that the candy market will thrive, it’s just a pleasant smoking experience for most people, it’s almost hard to go back to haze / sour terps after smoking candy or zkittles terps. I also agree heavily with nostalgia playing a huge part in people saying haze and sour are the best strains and attributing the memories they have of those highs with genetics. I will say that a well grown sour diesel cut still will give a great cerebral high, but idk man.
I’m live in north jersey, grew up here 30 mins from the city. We smoked sour and haze in highschool, and yeah those were the most memorable and giggly highs that I’ve experienced, but that’s because we didn’t have the tolerance we do now. We would 4 man a dub of sour and all be way higher than I’d be facing a j of top shelf right now, that’s just how tolerance and heavy consumption works sadly. So many people in jersey and New York reminisce on the sour and hate on new strains because they don’t give them that same high, but they just miss having a high schooler’s tolerance.
Dude was spitting facts. All that being said I do look forward to upcoming terp profiles, we’ll see some unique breakthroughs for sure, but it’s impossible to constantly / frequently have completely profiles at a certain point

I can relate so much. I was on methadone for years too. Went from 50mg to 120mg and finally stopped using and came down off the meth. Methadone withdrawal is worse than heroin
This one just ain't sit right. The recovery part is cool and much respect but all I heard after thst was mylar bags, shooting packs, and money... not what the REAL culture is about.. more focus on the bag than what's inside of it.. Definitely some gems dropped if you wanna create a custy buzz with that being said everything ain't for everybody.
There are so many different aspects to this game. This should be an eye opener to everyone about the brand you want to support. Cool story. Major hustler. Don't get hustled when ur buying a bag, lol.

Bro my boy in Dallas USED to work hand in hand with this dude but then he stopped fuckin with him because he said pretty much what you said word for word. And to all the people out there smokin this dudes flower homie also told me he knows for a fact that he's using spray on terps 🤷 and that was what really made him step away!! Honestly the more I hear about this dude from people that worked with him the more I know that he's just in to cash out on the "green rush"!! I truly miss when flower didn't come in cheesy Mylar bags. Idgaf about a "cool" looking bag I wanna see what the flower has to offer! I miss the mason jar days when all the flower was beyond 🔥. And neither did I at 16 trying to go to high school still after I'd been living on the streets and sleeping near the school so I could be on time and also having an addiction on ur back but if I would have known about the kicking and having urself turn into someone u might not recognize as soon as ur Jonesing great story stay blessed and u should be proud of urself cuz anyone who knos the kno just knos that it ain't easy and business with this man would probably be in lots of best interests cuz he's built different and lifr is easier compared to what he was going through I love not waking up. I also share the "amor fatti" mindset that it sounds like you share as well. 7 clears clean, down to 18mg methadone, and I'm Decreasing every month. I was successful in the past detoxing from suboxone (withdrawals 3+ months), so I'll be successful again with methadone.
Also, at age 27 I suffered a kidney incident with 21 days in ICU from
Rhabdomylosis, not knowing until the last couple days whether or not I would need dialysis
