Very interesting viewing from a Leinster POV - Saints look defensively weak in the midfield after 3 or more phases! Watch Robbie Henshaw and Gary Ringrose having a few pops to see if they can slip through the sieve! ;-)
Such a shame a massive performance from Quins will be overshadowed by refereeing decisions, winning against league leaders with 3 yellow cards is an incredible shift
3 yellow cards, yes but Care should have been red for Lawes challenge and definitely later, the other 2 should have been penalty tries. You don't get referees in football officiating in matches in a game if they played for or from there. Fact
@@saintdave4980 absolutely disagree on some of these points: 1. Care’s on Lawes was no way a red card altho I agree he should’ve been sent off later 2. There was cover in the backfield for the Lynagh yellow card and the ball was played short so correct decision again - no penalty try If u want to talk abt referees being bad u should probably mention the Saints forward pass for the first try but then again the Saints bias is clear with u
@@John-ny7jn 2 on 1 for the lynagh yellow and no way Smith was going to stop them, Freeman was clean through for the first slap down, and the saints first try did go forward but the hands went backwards in the pass which what the TMO said. Saints rested 4 players and had 3 injured
@@saintdave4980the ball was passed short for the Lynagh one with Green next to him covering so I agree with the ref and TMO that it wasn’t a penalty try. @@John-ny7jn yeah, only knew Launchbury was missing from the first team, great player and once an England automatic pick. Any one but chuck the ball anywhere Bristol. Hopefully see you at Tottenham
What a game, Quins play such beautiful attacking rugby, but fear for their defence vs Toulouse who easily dispatched a 4th place Racing 92 in the Top 14 yesterday! That league seriously needs to trim itself down to 12 Teams for player welfare as 26 regular season games plus Play-Off matches, European matches & Internationals every season is too much!
We probably deserved to lose. But the lack of the massively controversial call which may well have decided the game in these highlights speaks volumes. Absolute failure from the people in charge to have a former Quins player as the referee, let alone one as hopeless as Dickson
I agree that Karl shouldn’t have reffed this game. But don’t tell me care should have been red carded and not admit that saints first try included an obvious forward pass which should have been called…
@@ChrisSmith-mk3woagreed he reffed both teams poorly, missed everything, including a forward pass for a quin's try. Care should have been off though, any other player would have got a yellow.
@@iteamyno more like the forward passes missed on 2 tries. Danny care push and playing the 9 at the same break down. Lawes being strangled when he scored the try etc
Dixon is a cheat, he went to his pocket for the deliberate Care killing of the ball til he realised who it was and that it would have meant red. I’ll admit quins were the better side, but that decision could have cost us the game.
A balance. In reality both teams held back some players for minor injuries doubts and had some predetermined substitutions to limit playing time to ensure individuals would be available for the Semifinals. But in front of 60,000 at Twickenham, there’s no doubt the guys on the pitch will have been giving their all.
@@moco_coco_999 yeah even if harlequins are only 5th in premiership it seems like them and Northampton are the best english teams that will be a huge semi final against toulouse
@@nico-qd9jz Indeed, Northampton have been the best, consistent English team across the season. I’d say Harlequins have the higher ‘ceiling’ (they can push their performance to a higher level) but have been very inconsistent and can also play really poorly (sometimes in the same match!)
It fills me with joy seeing such good quality rugby coming out of the English league
A word of Stephan Lewies, never the flashiest player he got a try, a try assist for Porter and a try saver against Furbank, he was my MOTM today
Agreed well done Captain
Lichfield, Northmore and Sleightholme look physically ready for England duty. Lichfield did a good job on Esterheizen. Murley looks great as well
Yk what’s crazy Murley has 28 tries in 31 matches
As a neutral this was an amazing game, full of attacking rugby, great scores and some impressive performances. Well done to both teams.
Why does this channel exclude some yellow cards from the highlights but includes others? Irritatingly inconsistent
The highlights are still a million times better than those produced by the URC and Champions Cup.
How many games have this many scores?
@@conoromelia8435 and the Top14. Still, I wanted to see the cards.

Agree--also, it seems that the level of play in the Premiership is better with 10 clubs rather than 12.
