Don't worry miss Pearl, being struck with a katana isn't that bad. The real thing is when a 155 mm shell shatters your head, transforming your brains and skull into minced meat. If I remember right, Arima(who if I'm correct is the demon) is the Shadowman's puppet/pawn. They won't do anything to him. If you meant Maeka's twin/guardian angel, oh hell yeah he'll do what it takes to save his sis and make that bastard pay.

One month after Final Fest's Chaos Queen was killed, it was time for her funeral; shops were shut, Turf War stages closed, and the food truck's engine power was cut.
Pearl was buried at Sandy Shores Cemetery, a place where those killed could never respawn; the gravestone said this:

Marina tried to do the news alone, but the ratings dropped; before long, the ratings hit zero. Marina Ida was fired by her manager; the total sum of her final paycheck, severance pay, and Squidmas bonus were split evenly between Callie and Marie. The news studio at Inkopolis Square was cleaned out; the Octarians kept their former Octoling's DJ turntable.
Soon, everyone left the Square; all of the shops, Crusty Sean's food truck, and Sheldon's Ammo Knights store were moved to a new venue: Inkopolis District.
Callie and Marie came out of retirement, put on their idol outfits, and did the news; the Squid Sisters were back, but something was wrong: they couldn't do it without the Great Zapfish. They left it at the Square; after about two weeks, the Great Zapfish was perched at the District.
DJ Octavio's snowglobe prison was given an upgrade, thanks to Marina (who kept the Squidbeak Splatoon moniker 'Agent 7'); it was now made of plexiglass, with sixty-four air holes drilled into it.
In Pearl's will, Marina was given half of her friend's possessions and life savings; the other half was split evenly between Callie and Marie.
However, things turned south for the New Squidbeak Splatoon; without their leader, Captain Craig Cuttlefish, it was time to disband. Saddened by this, the Octarians followed suit; it was as if they were to force themselves to surrender.

How the fuck can Meaka die I thought she was invincible
A previous episode shows that Maeka would permanently die if she were in her demon form and died. If she were in her regular form, that would only trigger Shadowman to take control.
