That's easy for beginners. Beginners put on a ton of muscle when they first start lifting weights. Doesn't take much besides weight training and a calorie surplus to take a bean stalk to someone with a reasonable frame..
It gets harder after a year. Each pound of muscle requires perfect workouts, perfect diet, and supplements. Creatine will add 5-10 points of Muscle and add up to a 10% increase to your max bench, squat, deadlift, etc.

I’m 46 this November when I was 40 I was 20 stone 4lb and joined a gym and dedicated myself to the gym 5/6 days a week and got down to 15st 6lb I lost that within 6 months my gym membership was only a year so I didn’t carry on maintaining my weight loss over the last 5 years I’ve slowly crept back up to 20st 6lb so bigger than I was before!!!so I started the gym again a month ago been going 3/4 times a week to do cardio just like the time before but weighed myself yesterday and my world fell apart I weighed 20st 9lb so somehow put 3lb on even tho I’ve been eating better and going to the gym it was really disheartening but I know that means it’s time to probably start eating healthier and mixing up my cardio workouts with maybe some light weights and I’m going to drink lots of water so if anyone else is in the same boat don’t give up on yourself you’ll achieve your goals if you believe in yourself I’ll come back to this comment in 6 weeks time to let you know my weight. Hey man, how’s the last 10 months been? If you haven’t had success, I just wanna help you understand why you put on weight while working out. The only way for your body to store fat is if you’re consuming more calories than your tdee (total daily energy expenditure). If you can calculate your rough tdee and eat about 300-400 below that every day, without cheat days if possible cause they just make it harder to diet, then you’ll lose fat no matter what you eat. You could only eat chocolate (although you wouldn’t get the right micro nutrients) and you’d still lose fat. Try and calculate your calorie intake and eat as much protein as you can. The bigger the deficit the faster you’ll lose fat as long as you’re eating enough micro nutrients. Good stuff man and keep striving for excellence :)
@@algdmycuz2121 hi how you doing buddy thank you for the positive kind words but things haven't been great for me since the comment what I should of also put is that I suffer from chronic venus ulcers on my legs I've suffer for nearly 20 odd years being in and out of compression bandaging I usually get them to my legs it's due to poor circulation in my legs because I've had deep vein thrombosis numerous times in each leg and recently had ulcers break out on my feet resulting in not being able to hardly stand or walk so I've virtually been sat on my fat bum for months the pain was excruciating and my mental health has been on a decline with me not being able to exercise or get out the house it's been awful I tried eating hardly anything even just living on 3 bowls of cornflakes a day but my weight did not budge one pound I'm 20 st 7lb at the moment and over the last week or two my ulcers have healed enough for me to start walking again and being more active so I've started walking around my area couple times a day it's still painful but its a start again I think I need to have a good diet plan or try the 5 meals a day 2 being snacks I'm literally willing to try anything at all I feel ill be back at the gym within 2/3 weeks I seriously need to budge some weight as the extra weight I'm carrying will be making my ulcers break out more frequently it's been a vicious circle for me but last time I lost that over 5 stone I mentioned ulcers hardly broke out until I put the weight back on I'm going to keep trying and I will succeed nothings impossible unless you make it Impossible in your mind but I'd really appreciate any help or feedback from you I think my age being almost 47 has a big thing to do with me not loosing any weight recently but I'll get there ill never give up trying just maybe I need to try different tactics Hope to hear from you again all the best and thanks again Jimmy 😎
