An amazingly well-crafted video. I just purchased a used Wii a couple days ago because I think the exact same way. For me, no other console could capture the feeling of waking up bright and early on a Sunday to play countless hours of Galaxy.
All of the reasons are why I still play Wii games to this day. Although my Wii stopped reading game discs at some point, it just feels nostalgic every time I plug it in and boot it up, looking at the various channels and options it had from my childhood.
The Wii was amazing, second only to the mighty SNES for me as far as Nintendo's consoles go. So many great memories both solo and playing with family and friends. It makes me sad that most people only talk about the "shovelware" when it comes to the Wii when it had so many fantastic (and underappreciated) games that not enough people gave a chance, many of which are still exclusive to the Wii to this day. Always great to see some Wii positivity!

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 KJV “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 KJV If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on TH-cam and a TH-cam channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and he will. I loved the Wii for many things, MKWii, Mario Sports Mix, LEGO Star Wars, but nothing interested me more than the Forecast Channel. I loved the concept of weather when I was really young, and to see the forecast of any city in every continent, while the soothing, calm music plays in the background, it makes young me so....complete? I can't really describe it. Although I sold my Wii for a Wii U (which is a blessing in disguise because I met so many friends over at Miiverse that I still have contact with today), the spirit of the OG Wii still lives on. I recently modded my Wii U to play CTGP Wii, but I'm more excited to see the Forecast Channel again, risen from the dead. The 3DS may be my all-time favorite console but the Wii/Wii U is easily the most nostalgic imo.
Back in the day I loved playing Wii, I still play it sometimes just to remember the great exclusives this console had, and some are locked on it forever, great video man.
The original Xbox is my favorite console of all time, but the Wii I think comes in close second. It is such a unique console with so much charm and whit to it. I have a lot of fond memories with it too.

When it comes to the original Wii, it's not my all-time favorite game console personally (ironically, my all-time favorite is the Wii U), but as the years go by, I have developed a lot more respect for it. For starters, it was the last home console released where you didn't have to worry about game installs or game updates when you bought a new game for it. You just pop a disc in, go to the Wii Disc Channel, push Start, and once you go past the Wii Remote Safety screen, you're in the game. That's it. The original WIi has my respect, just for that alone. While some games for the original Wii had this, DLC wasn't really a common thing for the system that most companies kept trying to jam down your throat on top of pointless microtranscations. Reasons like those are why I flat out detest the 7th Gen of gaming because it was the start of that bullcrap. And this one is honestly just me talking here, but while some folks hate the direction that the original Wii took Nintendo years later with their future systems, it taught Nintendo that you honestly don't need powerful, super expensive hardware to make good games. I heard somewhere that sometimes limitations can lead to more creativity and from seeing a lot of great indie games flourish, nowadays I believe that statement has truth to it. And even though, I hate Nintendo as a company nowadays for reasons that I don't feel like getting into because I've done so enough years prior, I will give them credit where credit is due. Not focusing on PlayStation or Xbox when it comes to their decision making (aside from DLC, Season Passes, paid online service, etc.) does have its advantages.
Pretty false with creativity. Most of nintndo game are just botw reskins and get beaten by shadow of the colosus in artsyle and graphics. Also nintnedo has not had a single Just Cause game
3:20 Forecast, News and the sort didn't die when WFC was shutdown in 2019, it died when WC24 (WiiConnect 24) stopped working in 2014 after being discontinued in 2013 This video is great I just had to point out WC24 and Nintendo WFC are different

I wish I could go back to this era of gaming. People and games were more social, game quality was incredible, and they didn't have any mind boggling hooks (like microtransactions or BP's) to keep you engaged. While we can still play these games today, people move onto new things, and playing these games generally just isn't the same (still fun!) As I said in your discord server before, this video's pretty well-made. The pacing, SFX & VFX are nicely put together, and has just enough where it isn't overdone. Looking forward to see what you'll be posting next!

DSi was way better. The games on the DSi were all good at the least and the DSi shop introduced so much wonder and flavor into my life, playing Tetris and Bomberman online was my top 5 past-time. Playing Sonic Rush and Sonic Colors online against other people was so fun and exciting. I LOVED my Wii too, but it had so much shovel-ware and bad games. It did keep me very fit though.
i kinda wished i had grown up w the wii and ds instead of the wii and 3ds. the ds however still provides me an insane amount of nostalgia even if it wasn’t a big part of my childhood. i miss 2006 nintendo tbh
@@chillysu The 3DS was good too but the DSi lowkey felt more cool and niche. Plus I feel (well know) the DSi Screens are very vibrant and colorful. Combined that with the very good black and blue colors and it's still top 5 consoles of all time for me. 3DS was great but had the shovelware problem and most games didn't use the bottom screen in fun and unique ways like with the DS, which defeated the point of having 2 screens.

To me the Wii was Nintendo's worst console. The controller was limiting,its barely stronger than a GC,dated online and few good games. Its when Nintendo lost me as a fan for a generation. Everything was too watered down for novices and children or relied on novelty and I was too old to enjoy those experiences, I have no memories making miis or playing wii sports with my family. Hearing the perspective of someone who was at the right age at the right time to enjoy it at uts fullest is interesting, Nintendo intended for the Wii to appeal to novices and children to expand its fanbase and seeing so much love and nostalgia towards it shows they truly achieved that
