One thing affects tires far more than anything, oxygen. Oxygen breaks down rubber starting immediately. Replace your tires every 5 to 6 years unless you think you'll survive a front tire blow out just fine. The side of the tire has the date of manufacture. Its four digits inside an oval. The first two are the week they were made, the second two digits are the year
Hey bro how bout a video on tracing electrical issues using an ohmmeter??So if I can pick your brain for a second, let me explain my issue . 81 GS550L died on me on freeway. So I knew I had a issue with my stator due to the fact that sometimes my battery recharge sometimes it wouldn't so I replace the stator and the regulator and ended up replacing the wiring harness because of issue with the fuse box only getting used to one side of the fuse but not to a nut to the other side of the same fuse so I replace the whole harness as well and I was getting lights on my cluster for a brief moment but now I have no turn signal brake will not my brake light will not light up I replace the sensor for the rear brake I'll get by. Continuity throughout the whole wiring harness for the turn signals so I know that if there's no break in The Wire but when I get the jumper wire on the turn signal relay lights didn't come on which would normally mean that there's a break in The Wire somewhere but there's continuity throughout the whole line so that would tell me that there's not still have no cluster lights although my high beam light will illuminate on the cluster but no neutral and no turn signals and I don't know what to do I'm not all that familiar with the ohmmeter settings and what settings for I should use for what so you know that's why I suggest you doing a video on using an ohmmeter to diagnose and maybe track down you know that a certain electrical issues maybe you might be able to give me give me somewhere to start a point of interest to start I appreciate the time thanks bud
All manufacturers suggest removing the trans oil because you should be checking the interior spindle/rotary device that is inside the trans cover to make sure its working as well. A tip that makes your job 80% complete is not a tip, it is a shortcut.
I have not one but TWO identical year make and model Kaw KLR650. I got sick like 10 years ago and did not ride the bikes and eventually they just got buried under a lot of stored junk. Fast forward 10 years my health is much improved and I actually feel like riding a little bit. Well I KNEW I would have to do the usual change the fuel in the tanks and meticulously clean the carbs which I carefully did do ....now I confess I did not dip the carb bodies because seriously they were not bad looking ... ....(actually I had tried to run the bikes before I even cleared the jets and of course they would only run with the choke (enricher) pulled) the pilot jets of course were clogged and so after cleaning carbs I would have bet money I was good to go ! NOPE ...both bikes start up okay but even fully warm they wont take throttle past a 3k rpm or so ...they both fall on the face trying to rev the engine (have not even tried to ride yet) There is no rust in the tanks...if fact I put enough premium so it is running on ON and not reserve at all (getting freshest fuel off the top. I'm just pulling my hair out! What else would age affect like this? By the way both these motorcycles are in very new low milage condition ...one has 5k the other only 1.6k miles...they DID run fine 10 years ago!
What does it mean, while accelerating it kinda bogs down? My bike also was only firing in 1 cylinder at the time but I am working on cleaning the carb right now

Keeping the fuel tank full when it's going to sit idle - that's the single best and easiest thing to do for your bike.
AND I understand you should put fuel stabilizer in the gas so it does not sour
