My friend's middle name is Nicole. She gave all four of her daughters the name Nicole. They have gained their own identity with their first name, but the daughters especially feel united with each other through their middle names. It's pretty neat to see how close they are even though there's ten years between the oldest and youngest.
My mother is named after my grandmother. My grandfather lived her name so much, he asked my grandma to name my mom the same name
