I suggest you are spot on. They were married for over 70 years. For him she was his “job” and imho he did his utmost to ensure he followed her father’s dictate. For her, he was her “strength and stay”, the only man she had ever loved. So yes I think this may have been close to the mark.
How do you know they didn't have a private conversation like that ? The fun part of this question is that you don't know because if it were a conversation they had privately , it would have been between them and nobody else. Therefore we would never know about it .

As Starmer wrecks our country and children’s futures, Charles argues with his brother about vacating a grace and favour home. THAT is the true face of Royalty, utterly self centred. But there again, who wants a Starmer, Blair, Cameron, Johnson, Sunak or May as “El Presidente”. Sigh!
I don't know what you mean by Starmer wrecking anything (much better than the previous lot), but what should Charles do? He is a figurehead, a ceremonial head of state. And by throwing (trying to, at least) his brother out, he is doing the right thing. So he is doing the right thing in the one domain where he can actually do something.
@@kaszaspeter77 Well we are both seeing these matters through different optics. Regarding Charles and his spate with his brother, the point I make is specific in that one would have thought there were far more important issues going on for the head of state at this time, not least Comrade Starmer’s clear bias in respect of the law of the land and who he supports and his authoritarian first steps. But as usual, it being my opinion; Charles does not see much outside of his immediate and entitled view. Certainly not a leader, like Starmer. However, for what it’s worth, I agree with you about the past tory lot, but not that this labour lot are or will prove any better. In summary I see no difference between any of them, and to suggest that Charles is a “figurehead etc” is plainly nonsensical if meant he does not exercise power. The Royals hold power that is exercised constantly and that has happened for centuries. The Head of State is, de facto, above the law and that cannot be right in the 21c. But, you obviously feel otherwise. Do you not think that Starmer and Charles only make a “fit” because both are clearly not leadership material? Don’t answer that, I know the answer already.

I still can’t believe they made her majesty death subject of a show! They could never know what those two people really felt about life. I think this is ridiculous
The show has a specific disclaimer stating its a fictional portrayal of real life events. By your logic no one should ever make a film about a historical figure because they would never truly know how they felt about life or what was said in private.

While this conversation is fictional, I like to think this is how they were with each other in private
