I might be wrong, but your Connect has the same diesel engine like this Focus.... It's a 2.0 TDCI diesel (engine code: DW10FC) and also Kuga, Mondeo has it. The biggest difference is exhaust and ECU map
Yup, bags of shit 1.5 tdci’s, slow, chuff a lot a shit out the exhaust too (dpf got cleaned, big mistake also). It’s been repaired now after head gasket failure and numerous other crap that had shit its self. 5 years old and definitely won’t last like the older connects/transits
@@kaysontee difficult question to answer. Should pass the visual side of things as technically it has a dpf in place. As long as it passes the smoke test yout good
Nearly got myself one of these and ended up buying a 2018 transit connect crew cab, worst mistake of my life. Currently sat out front with the head gasket gone. This is after spending 2k on gearbox, clutch, slave and master cylinder 🤣🤣……………………🤦🏻 and yes, I know I’m a twat 🙄 the boss has already made her opinion very clear.
@@NAWFABZ i dont think it is horrible it just sounds like any other 4 cylinder really, I would rather have a quiet exhaust but with a lot of intake noise
Not watched the episode yet but, just thought I’d mention that most 5yr olds videos on here also have kids with the 😮 face as the main picture… you’re an adult, Please don’t 😅
Sounds good and makes a change from seeing crsp BMW’s and vag crap 👍👍
Yea I was impressed with this one. Power and sound
standard Pumaspeed stage 1 map takes STTDci from 185 to 230 bhp, R Sport 'DPF' is part of stage 2 kit and 250bhp with 500+nm
Bloody impressive! As the video shows it went like a rocket ship! As good as a petrol version for sure
Best sounding straight pipe diesels we get IMO are the 3.0 bmw twin or tri, and the 3.0 Audi engines sound like lambos when done right
3.0ltr audi win always hands down they sound amazing
@@NAWFABZyeah audi sound better and i have a straight piped 335d
Those two and the 2.0 Volkswagen TDI are all the diesel cars we get in the US lol. The fact that Ford won't sell us their own diesel cars 😭
I’ve been contemplating doing an engine swap on my 2018 connect, one of these engines in it would be nice 👌🏻, this sounds awesome too

@NAWFABZ You're right. That's so bad. Unfortunately no help for this car

Sound changes dramatically when you boost extra 200-300hp from that engine🙏
Luv the way you explain therrrrrrrr ain’t nothinnnnnnnn in that pipe 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Good old Race dpf lol
Will this pass MOT with the "race dpf" or do you still need a friendly mechanic?

Did you find out who mapped it pal?

@User92827-d lol oooops! Those connects are common for it! 1.5 I'm guessing....shite! But yea this st was really impressive
Yep, 1.5 bag of shit 🤣 going to engine swap it, get rid of the 1.5 tdci turd.
Pumping up some black smoke ahaaaaa it's a dummy cat
@@shaunwelch9176 'race cat' 🐈 🤫🤫
No smoke no poke as they say an the proofs in the pud with this one it’s a space shuttle 🤩
I want a dpf delete but have to plug into the machine to turn the system off ffs, which costs alot again lol.
diesel exhaust sounds terrible if it is a 4 cylinder, only the turbo noise is actually nice.
@briocheman21 I agree to an extent but this one sounded smart in my opinion
