For a customer, I added Abbot's Butcher Plant-Based Ground Beef to balance out the texture, and they really enjoyed them. Please let me know how they turn out for you! 😊💚🌱

I just found this video and enjoyed watching it. I'm no big cook but I love to watch ppl cook. We have vegan restaurants here in Caymsn where I live, though I'm from Trinidad. Wish some of those restaurants could cook thus cause I love me some oxtail but had to give up all this meat for health reasons. 😢 your oxtail looks delicious. I've subscribed!

I've heard the spices in Trinidad are delish, so I can only imagine in oxtails. I do understand as I too had to give up the meat for health reasons, so this was my own version which seemed to turn out really well for us. 😂😂😂 Awww thank you so very much, as I'm glad you enjoyed my video. It wasn't mushy once I cooked it thoroughly, after searing both sides. However; you could add Shredded Jackfruit and less black-eyed peas with the mushrooms to balance out the texture. ☺️
Hey there, I actually used canned black-eyed peas since my vegan oxtail process was already long enough. However; I have soaked them overnight once before for six hours. I believe you can also rinse them off in cool water, then boil them in hot water for a couple of minutes. Then, drain the hot water and let them sit for an hour before cooking them as well. I haven't tried this method before, but it has been mentioned to me to give it a try.

You could also add some Abbot's Butcher Plant-Based Ground Beef to it for my added texture in case you're not a big fan of mushrooms and black-eyed peas. Yet, searing them to get it nice and crispy and covering a top will cook through the inside of your blended ingredients. 😊💚🌱
Thanks so much! 😊 My vegan oxtails has a similar flavor of oxtails, based on how I seasoned it, but they don't taste like oxtails. With the combination of black-eyed peas and mushrooms, they bring out their own flavor. Since then, I have added Abbot's Butcher Plant-Based Ground Beef that gives them more of a beefy flavor. Hey how long did you soak your black eyed peas for?
Hey there, I actually used canned black-eyed peas since my vegan oxtail process was already long enough. However; I have soaked them overnight once before for six hours. I believe you can also rinse them off in cool water, then boil them in hot water for a couple of minutes. Then, drain the hot water and let them sit for an hour before cooking them as well. I haven't tried this method before, but it has been mentioned to me to give it a try.
Is there an alternative to the rice paper to wrap?

You could also add some Abbot's Butcher Plant-Based Ground Beef to it for my added texture in case you're not a big fan of mushrooms and black-eyed peas. Yet, searing them to get it nice and crispy and covering a top will cook through the inside of your blended ingredients. 😊💚🌱

Thanks so much! 😊 My vegan oxtails has a similar flavor of oxtails, based on how I seasoned it, but they don't taste like oxtails. With the combination of black-eyed peas and mushrooms, they bring out their own flavor. Since then, I have added Abbot's Butcher Plant-Based Ground Beef that gives them more of a beefy flavor.
