@@akashdeb1662 I wouldn't say that. But I will say that the audio mixing is not as good as I was hoping. I've seen the subbed version of this scene, and you can hear the god-like POWER as Mio and Tomoe destroy the entire town there. Not so much with this dub. I think it would sound much better if the dub was done in stereo like the subbed version was, instead of upmixing it to 5.1 surround.
This was supposed to be a simple rescue mission but at the end of the day, they somehow destroyed more than half the town. Im actually still surprised that the remaining part of the town is still standing
Yeah. XD And I also remember how Makoto had scolded Tomoe and Mio for the damages they had caused.

I still think Jād Saxton would have been a better pick for Mio. I start thinking of Nymph from Heaven's Lost Property whenever Kara Edwards pops into my head.

Yeah I read the web novel I love how colorful the characters are as well as the world building and the character development instead of it just being all straight of serious and going to fight a Demon Lord or being an antihero who's just ruthless as hell or funny as hell
Fun fact: Tomoe voice actor also played black clovers meliona. Both of them are awesome!
And Monica also voiced Secre Swallowtail/Nero (also from Black Clover), another role voiced by Ayane Sakura.

This show was inspired by Fairy Tail, no doubt. These two are like Natsu and Gray. Which would make Makoto Erza
I can see the Erza comparison having to reign her juniors but Tomoe & Mio are just a bit to conniving, dangerous & evil to be a fairy tail protagonist. While destroying this town was incidental, they'll continue to do equally horrific things deliberately, Tomoe will even do these behind Makoto's back.

No, it's not just you. The "hyumans" of this world are all beautiful/handsome. It's actually a plot point as the MC is average by our standards and is considered hideously deformed there.

@@nitro8678 The VAs for Tomoe and Mio are best known for Bulma and Videl, respectively. They're actually doing variations of their famous voices for these characters, with Tomoe basically being a hammy, somewhat deeper Bulma and Mio being a more sophisticated, smooth Videl.

I really liked this manga and LN series. Tomoe’s voice in English just isn’t working for me though. One of the few times I have to give it to the Japanese voice actress.
Mio’s English dub actress is fine though. I’m still excited to rewatch this in English either way.
Romeo’s voice in English is fine and works
I don’t know this Romeo character, but if you’re referring to Tomoe. That’s your opinion, which is fair, but my opinion disagrees. We’re both entitled to think the way we want to about this.
@@Ninjamaster227- I kinda prefer Monica Rial's lower voices over her higher ones so her Tomoe works for me, but I can see how it wouldn't work for some people. She basically took her Bulma voice and gave it a brash, deeper makeover to sound more like a fighter. It's actually kinda similar to how Ryuko sounded in the classic Tenchi Muyo dub in execution.
@@rebelcheese5301 I can only imagine an office worker in her 30s listening to most of Monica's dialogue as Tomoe, only her raspy lines work for me like 0:53. For me Tomoe's really energetic & Boisterous when in action & dark when scheming, threatening & commanding.

In the dub's defense his face is completely destroyed, IIRC the Japanese dub did something similar with the seiyuu goofily garbling his lines.
I feel like Tomoe is just blatantly reading her lines and mio is ok but much more soft spoken than I expected. But the action and comedy is so up there I almost over looked them, almost…
