  • iPhone 7 Touch Screen Not Working - IC Damage Case - Logic Board Repair .
It is common that we replace the touch IC of iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on account of touch malfunction. The touch IC of iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 series has been integrated on screen, which cause more touch screen malfunctions. Touch issue on Logic Board IC has lower probability, but it happens once in a while.
In this video we fix an iPhone 7 that has such an issue. We test and find out the LCD Display Power IC on logic board is abnormal, so we replace it and it works well.
We hope that it is helpful to you.

Hi everyone! Few weeks ago i swapped a broken screen with a, unfortunately, not-so-good new one, and i tested it (without immediately swapping home button) to see if it worked. Once i saw that it worked, i installed the home button on the new screen, trying to be as gentle as possible, and the phone gave me the touch id error message.
So i put the home button back in the original broken screen, but i found a weird behavior: original screen's touchscreen was unresponsive (and home button wasn’t working anymore).
After some attempts, i noticed that if both screen connectors were plugged, touchscreen was unresponsive (with or without home button), while if only the left screen connector was plugged, touchscreen was working, but, again, no working home button. As soon as I plugged in the right screen connector, the touchscreen stopped working.
On my main iPhone 7 I also tested another working original display of a second iPhone 7 of mine, with audio problems, but i got the same behavior: touchscreen wasn't working, with both screen connectors plugged, while was working with only the left screen connector plugged.
Both original screens work perfectly on the secondary iPhone, with both screen connectors plugged.
I tested all three screens with the JC V1 Programmer and while i can read and write data from and into the photosensitive chip of the two original displays, i noticed that the aftermarket one doesn’t have any chip. But it’s the only one that works.
So, is it related to the photosensitive chip? The mobo, or some other component, or software, blocks the touchscreen if i connect an original display that has that chip?
Or is this malfunction related to some connector/mobo damage?
    Thanks!

It has nothing to do with photosensitive chip.

Hi, I have an iphone 7 plus. Touch screen works fine but after several minutes of using, screen would become unresponsive. It ghost touches a lot. I have to lock my phone and then unlock it again to make the phone function. Sometimes, when it gets really unresponsive, I am forced to shut my phone down. What could be the issue? I would appreciate a reply from you. Thank you!

    Hello,
I have an iphone 7, I was going to replace the charging port so I opened the iphone and started unscrewing but I did not have Y000 screwdriver so i decided to put everything back(Just the rear camera) and plugged back the battery, lcd and home button and other flex cable, basically everything back to its normal place.
However, After doing that I turn on my iphone and everything works normal but my iphone is not responding. The touch screen is not working at all. Home button is working and is responding but the screen is completely irresponsive.
I notice there are 2 flex cables coming from display (the one near battery flex), theres one on top and one that goes under it. The one that is under the top cable is slightly cracked. Is this why the iphone is not working or could there be some other issue?
Note: The display is working fine, i can see the apple logo and everything on phone but just can't touch anything so the touch screen is not working i think.
    Please help me.
    Thanks,
    Rohan

The touch flex cable might have been damaged during the replacement. Try to replace a new screen.

@@CINOTechnology One more thing i forgot to mention, I tried to install the charging port by connecting it directly on the logic board and the antenna and i tried then put the lcd screen back and from that point the touch screen stopped responding. Could it be that few diode/resistors have gone bad cause of bad charging port circuit? Thank you so much

      model: Iphone 7 128 GB
      problem description:
Phone showed some problems with the charging port and so I ordered a replacement kit online and decided to change it.
I disconnected the display lcd and battery connectors and to test the charging port, I disconnected the already installed charging port connector and directly connected the connectors of the new charging port circuit to the board from top.
I then put back the battery and display and turn the phone on and notice that the touch screen has stopped responding.
So, I disconnect the new bought charging circuit and put back the old one (assembling everything as it was before) and turn the phone on and the touch screen still doesn't work remains the same ever since.

I have ip7 plus, it was fixed with new lcd and touch ic , after a month I saw a black spot on the screen, and my phone suddenly lag, and can't touch at all. Do you know how to identify the problems?
    Thanks in advance..

To begin with, take down the battery and power on to test the touch screen, if not work, replace the screen. Problem still unsolved, the only choice is fixing the Logic Board.

i had vertical lines across my screen and half of it was unresponsive so i decided to replace the screen, however when I put the new screen on the screen was fine for a couple minutes until the vertical lines came back. Any advice for what my issue may be? have i caused damage putting the new screen on

    • @CINOTechnology
      @CINOTechnology  4 ปีที่แล้ว

The flex cables, ICs and some parts are easily damaged when you replace the screen harshly.
For your case, it might be the display IC or the connector has been damaged during the replacement.
