This guy is one of those drummers that totally fucks up the game. He's doing shit that I've really never see anyone else pull off consistantly and with such ease. Well. Fucking. Done. Sir.
I can't even begin to fathom the amount of effort it took on your part to master all the details, structures and technical challenges that make up this track and all the others of the album. Being a reasonable experienced guitarist, I know how much can go into practicing complex music, but drummers of your caliber; man, do I have great respect for you!
I usually try to enjoy your videos, not spend the whole time trying to understand wtf is going on that was by far your best video you just left everyone in the ashes of lesser men. Great technicality, on your way to being one of the greatest.
Damn man. You're an inspiration to not just take the easy route when writing drum parts. Even if the guitars are just ringing out, you always come up with some cool drum fill/groove. Keep up the good work and creativity!
You should do a Nile cover. I'm sure it'd be a Damn walk in the park for you . Btw your work in conquering dystopia is some of the best drumming I've heard from anyone ever
i feel the pain in your arms dude (you must have a awesome technic for blasting with booth hands)........ heavy *.* best drummer i´ve ever seen....and i´m startet to search 8-9 years ago.
Your skills are amazing. Conquering Dystopia is a huge metal album! Keep it up with the videos. I'll be watching and I can't wait for your next project.
You always nail your play-throughs but I personally enjoyed this a bit more than normal. Sounds really well balanced, groovy at times and you are having fun playing it. Great job.
The drumwork is flawless as always. For this track alone Alex wrote more and more interesting fills and arrangements than you'd find on whole albums of some contemporary metal bands :P
I didn't think there could be a better demonstration of amazing progressive metal drumming than your Xenochrist video. Simply the best at what you do. Absolutely. Incredible. Go Alex!
+Death Metal (Dismember) Their only album was originally a project between the two guitarists Jeff Loomis and Keith Merrow and was financed through Kickstarter ;D I was one of the backers and the result turned out to be extraordinary!
This is pretty killer. First time hearing this band. I'm kinda glad it's instrumental. The drumming is unique with it's seemingly random fills. Good job, this is a tough one to cover.
Great Drumming Alex... This is my Fave too in your band conquering dystopia. actually I'm learning Jeff's part right now. Hehehe... your triplets are incredible footwork awesome. I'm a guitar player but I admire this kind of drumming. \m/ I hope I can nail this song of yours. Jeff's part is hard.... Hahahaha but I'm enjoying it.
His double-bass / kicks are so clean. He does not need to swivel (maybe just a TINY bit), which I find pretty impressive and he can keep the balance on/@ his calves alone without rotating or shuffling. I rarely find metal drummers who can keep the balance using just their calves staying that perpendicular to the floor, kicking at that speed. That's learned technique, and again I don't know too many drummers who can do this without depending on their entire leg (swivel) to generate kicks @ over 240 bpm. Good on you Alex, it IS possible!
The mix actually sounds a lot better than the over-saturated one on the album. It's the main reason why I don't really listen to it : it's compressed to shit, and hurts my ears. Great job Alex, you never dissapoint.
I love how you record some of these videos as if we’re supposed to retain ANY if the quick camera shifts or fast movements in between some of the parts. It honestly makes it hard to learn some of the songs you post.
Mr. Rudinger, you are ruining it for the rest of us. You and other drummers in your league have raised the bar too high (Yes I am joking, this is a good thing). Honestly, it is hard working people like you that push music forward and the world is a better place because of it. Thank you on behalf of the metal community.
awesome! one of my favs for you! could you please make some videos to give some tops about how to develop our drumming also lessons for your songs, i would be thankful, really want to play something of yours but i feel like i have no arms and legs :D cheers
This guy spreads pure badassery on his toast in the mornings.
This guy is one of those drummers that totally fucks up the game. He's doing shit that I've really never see anyone else pull off consistantly and with such ease. Well. Fucking. Done. Sir.

iking311 the pearls sounded better.
Dude your snare sounds so Fucking good this video.
Mannn how is this 5 years ago? Gotta love it still
I've watched this at least ten times already! Awesome!
I started learning drums in 1987. Alex is 1 of the most talented drummers I have ever had the pleasure of listening to! Keep rising Alex!! Thanks!
Hes so good
The way you stay busy by playing fills that compliment the song perfectly, all while being a human robot is mind blowing.

Conquering Dystopia is the sickest band playing this style of music, right now, as far as I'm concerned. Great work!
Damn man. You're an inspiration to not just take the easy route when writing drum parts. Even if the guitars are just ringing out, you always come up with some cool drum fill/groove. Keep up the good work and creativity!
I don't even drum and this dude's my hero.
Hell ya man! Great stuff as always
And the stalls are next level!!!
You should do a Nile cover. I'm sure it'd be a Damn walk in the park for you .
Btw your work in conquering dystopia is some of the best drumming I've heard from anyone ever
Brutal! very awesome.. \m/
Yes! more Conquering Dystopia vids!! :D :D freaking awesome
Amazing playing!
One of the best modern drummers period!!
The kick is just savage!!!
Never ceases to amaze me how amazing you are Sir!
i can't say enough good things about how sick you are at drums Alex. It's nuts.
I love how clean sounding his style this and the fills he throws throughout every single damn second of the song.
i feel the pain in your arms dude (you must have a awesome technic for blasting with booth hands)........ heavy *.*
best drummer i´ve ever seen....and i´m startet to search 8-9 years ago.
Amazing! The Greatest!
Amazing player... The best drummer ive seen so far.. For my taste.
Beautiful drum work!
Drummers could learn a thing or two from this mix. The snare sounds godly.
I cried both in amazement and in hopelessness while watching this. This is so incredibly good in every way!
nice TAMA, that is one beautiful drum set.
thank you sir. looking forward to whatever projects you have upcoming
You really are one of the sickest drummers dude! hope to see you in Pittsburgh again!
Your skills are amazing. Conquering Dystopia is a huge metal album! Keep it up with the videos. I'll be watching and I can't wait for your next project.
How do you even come up with these extremely advanced drum patterns!? Alex you are a god!!!
YES!!! MAN!!! AWESOMENESS!!!!
The tone is amazing. Just amazing skill bro.
You always nail your play-throughs but I personally enjoyed this a bit more than normal. Sounds really well balanced, groovy at times and you are having fun playing it. Great job.
Alex, you are the best!
SMOKIN' SICK STYLE!!!!
He has inspired me to really get serious with these here skins. Thank you for the Mojo
The way your kit sounds in this setup is probably one of the best of all your videos imo, and that’s not an easy assessment to make
I still feel this way, all the videos with this kit
I am a drummer but no where near what you do... but you are truly inspiring!! thank you man!!!
Dude, you are such a fucking beast of a drummer!! Every video is just so good!
I personally dig the sound of your old kit's mix more, but amazing playing as usual
I agree.
Awesome video. Love the audio mix. 😎
The drumwork is flawless as always. For this track alone Alex wrote more and more interesting fills and arrangements than you'd find on whole albums of some contemporary metal bands :P
This guy is... AMAZING!!! \m/
That is a tremendous amount of focus, damn!
Your drumming style is how I want to play drums, but then 10 times more sophisticated. \m/
If I watch this at the gym, my bench press increases by 50 lbs through the power of metal. EPIC!
I didn't think there could be a better demonstration of amazing progressive metal drumming than your Xenochrist video. Simply the best at what you do. Absolutely. Incredible. Go Alex!
Wow what a banger play-through! I like the snare sound and playing better here than on the record. Again, sick playing dude you fucking rock!
this must be kept for next generations as UNESCO culture heritage of humanity
Dude your one atomic drummer. Holy caskets that was bad ace
Kit and cymbals sounding extra tasty, dude! I think this is my favorite play-through of yours to date...4.45 onwards blew me away, Killer work man!
so amazing. you can feel the intensity on the album but watching you play it is something else. time for me to practise haha.
WOW.............AMAZING
Facial expressions are priceless XD
Daaaaaaaaaaaaang!
Amazing drumming !!!
never heard of conquering distopia...
...but dude this is perfection!
+Death Metal (Dismember) Their only album was originally a project between the two guitarists Jeff Loomis and Keith Merrow and was financed through Kickstarter ;D I was one of the backers and the result turned out to be extraordinary!

Death Metal let's not forget who played the bass, another legend.
@@michaelhill668 SO true.

My unborn child is weeping
This is pretty killer. First time hearing this band. I'm kinda glad it's instrumental.
The drumming is unique with it's seemingly random fills. Good job, this is a tough one to cover.
Bigger rack toms might be worth thinking about Alex. Congratulations on your drumming. Extremely impressive.
You guys need another album/tour. First one was fuckin amazing.

Great Drumming Alex... This is my Fave too in your band conquering dystopia. actually I'm learning Jeff's part right now. Hehehe... your triplets are incredible footwork awesome. Everytime I watch it, it ends. Why does it do that? WHY DOES IT DO THAT, ALEX?
I DEMAND AN INFINITE SONG!!!

Amazing Alex greetings from chile!
GENIO LA TENES MAS CLARA QUE CUALQUIERA.. SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA UN ADMIRADOR!! YOU ARE THE BEST!
5:17 that fucking cymbal catch!
1:11 and these two as well!
hey, can you up a individual video regarding your foot- techniques? that would be really helpful

Fucking amazing man, you (and all Conquering Dystopia member) rule
Legend.
Simplesmente incrível! Fantástico!
Alex!! For you I want to be a drummer now!!!!
The mix actually sounds a lot better than the over-saturated one on the album. It's the main reason why I don't really listen to it : it's compressed to shit, and hurts my ears.
Great job Alex, you never dissapoint.
Sick cover man!
He's in Conquering Dystopia and wrote these parts himself.
I love how you record some of these videos as if we’re supposed to retain ANY if the quick camera shifts or fast movements in between some of the parts. It honestly makes it hard to learn some of the songs you post.

Holy Fck!!! Mind Blown !!!!

I second that!
other drummers in his league? who are you talking about? because i honestly can't think of anyone!
@@diphje I know it's 1 year ago but Matt Garstka is also in the same league. Different play styles but they both are topping the world rn imo
Sick!
What a great song!!!! ...
OMG, multiple ear gasms. No homo🔥
It's easier to hear what the guitars are doing in this video than on the album lol
awesome! one of my favs for you! could you please make some videos to give some tops about how to develop our drumming also lessons for your songs, i would be thankful, really want to play something of yours but i feel like i have no arms and legs :D cheers
I wish you guys would have come to San Francisco

Your workrate seems like you are just showing off at this point, yes its an old video but jeez Alex you killed it haha!
