I got caught on this bridge about a two months ago on my way driving from GA to New York... smh I was not ready and prayed the entire way over it! I would never get on it again and if I had known it was built like that and that long, I would not have drove over it! Great video though!
I got re-routed over this bridge a few months ago coming home from a family vacation. Didn't even see it coming and had no idea this bridge existed. I started driving up it, and I broke out in sweat... White-knuckled through it. Pretty intense if you've never done it before. A couple of cargo ships seemed to be heading straight for it. (PS- I'm an active certified driving instructor for 10 years)

Piss off. I've been over it once and that is enough for me. This augments my fear of heights. I had to go to Cambridge for my cousin's wedding and had to go over it and I was shitting myself the entire way over.
I used to cross this thing all the time heading from my home in Saint Mary's County to all points past Baltimore (Wilmington, Philadelphia, NYC, Boston). Crossed this bridge many times when we lived in Maryland (late 80's) going to and from the Eastern Shore. It scared me the first time, but I got use to it later on and then no problem. Now however, I don't think I could do it. Had a bad scare years ago and it took a lot out of me. I have never been a bridge fan and that incident just made it worse. If I were there now, I'd drive up to Delaware and go down that way rather than drive across the bridge......
