I found this kind of sad. She was clearly a busy talented crafts woman. So many items and wonderful dolls and quilts.
At first, I thought she worked all her life making things. Then I thought no, she lived her life doing what she loved. 😊
I was just talking about the word "hoard" and the difference between that and collecting. I see these types of Estates and I wonder how many of the dolls were gifts from family and friends. ;-)

Wow this sale was crazy good. I understand the overwhelming feeling and missed treasures. I hope you show us a haul before you do your magic on each of them. I went to a estate sale years ago that the owner was a doll collector, it was like a museum. I bet you guys were there for hours! Please show us each of the patterns also.
We were there for hours, especially the last day when it was 75% off. Wow, cool to know someone else has gone to a doll collector's estate sale. so there is hope I might find another. I showed some of the patterns in tonight's video. I will have to do another video or two to show them all, if there is interest. Thanks 😊😊🤗🤗

oh my . i saw some of them i would adore to have but this is 2 years old, i collect vinyl baby dolls and reborn dolls, i saw so many i would have snatched in a minute wow i didnt know people collected these like that!

This is an incredible sale! It looks like the previous owner cast their own porcelain parts for different dolls? Absolutely fascinating! I'm not big into porcelain dolls myself, but I absolutely appreciate the craft's mission and the work that goes into that. Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Yes, it was an incredible sale. Probably one in a lifetime. I've never been into porcelain dolls either but buying from here, has got me into wanting to do some remakes on these dolls and see if we can improve them a little, if you know what I mean...."wink, wink".😁
OMG I don't think I have ever seen so much doll stuff and dolls in my life and I am a collector. I can only imagine what is buried there that people would want to grab up. I am claustrophobic so I would most certainly feel overwhelmed in there. I think I would come out of there crying with joy if I got treasures.
I'm ashamed to say I bought too much but later wished I'd bought more. The story of my life...LOL 😂😳 Thanks for watching 💜

This was amazing find. Good thing I didn't live down there, I would have bought too much. I notice things other than the dolls I would have snatched up as well! You don't come across great sales like this often.
This would have been a dream and a frustration to be at this estate sale. Very hard decisions! Going on the second day would have been best for me as it was narrowed down, though still amazing. I love those baby dolls.

i was hoping to see life size female dolls. as in adult life size. i have many. i have cabbage patch. tons of them but i also have adult life size dolls. and tons of vintage dolls. i got them at sales. i got horseman 1940s dolls for 1 dollar. in great shape. tons of them. what a deal. i got 80 dolls for 60 dollars at that auction most boxes had 2 dolls. i was only bidder for 1 dollar. what a deal

Yes there were a lot of crochet patterns. However, I haven't crochet in years. There were a couple mixed up in with the sewing patterns I bought. There were a lot of patterns for full dolls as well as clothes. It was one of those kind of sales I imagine I won't ever see again. But who knows!😄

Wow I seen some dolls I'd love to buy to but wow this lady looked like she was a doll maker and a doll buyer to. I liked that Native American undian quilt I saw that was purple.
I know. There was so many dolls, doll magazines, patterns and doll making supplies that it was a bit overwhelming. I bought too much and wish I'd bought more. I loved all the quilts. She was a very creative woman. thanks for watching 💜

OMG I want that life size dolly. Every estate sale I've been to with my sister was an auction and dolls were like 2 dollars or less boxed hahaha There are no collectors around here and those that did are now go LMAO. I'm not into porcelain, to this day, I still only have the one. Mostly, I liked the life size doll, but wow what large collection of doll stuff lol.

I recently retired and I started collecting dolls from my childhood about a decade ago. Now I have recently discovered Madame Alexander dolls and I got a few of those in each size. I also like doll cases.
I love dolls but I don't want to be a hoarder and I don't my house to look like the video! I want to put my dolls inside of a collectors display case so they are neat and tidy and easy to view.
Thanks for watching. I did make a video showing all the dolls and stuff we bought from this sale. It was a lot of stuff. This lady made porcelain dolls and when the market bottom fell out, I think she just had a lot of this stuff and no way to get rid of it. If you are a collector, I don't think you have to worry about being a hoarder. Just enjoy collecting and your collection. It's what makes you happy that's important.
Ok now that would be me with American girl dolls pretty soon they are gonna be every where in my cabinets and my toilet lol hope that doesn’t happen but I’m not whiling to get rid of any of my American girl dolls :D

I had to stop collecting my American Girl dolls. Though I only have 12, I live in a condo and don’t want to attract rodents. I can still collect their clothing. Because, they are easy to store.

I know it’s an older video but I just keep wondering why I always see that estate sales are typically extremely dark 😢they would probably have much better luck selling if lights were on🤔
I agree with you, however the kids usually have the power shut off so they don't have to pay for it. I was told this house sit for two years before they even had this sale by then it was pretty dusty inside. Thanks for watching.

@@janiebrossmann1178 You are right. Actually they did state on their Facebook page to bring flashlights, but it's hard to video and use my phone light. I agree that they should put up battery lights for people.

I don't think she was a hoarder. I think she was a creater and dealer and also bought ones she loved. Back in the 90's I was a doll collector of mostly the vinyl "Horseman" dolls. I started by making a dress for my daughters doll when she was younger. But continued to collect after she'd outgrown dolls. When it got to the point where the 150 dolls I'd collected were just sitting in a closet I decided to sell them off. Didn't collect for many yrs then a few yrs ago amassed about 10. Now I've gotten rid of those and have just one large vinyl one. She's special to me and I will always keep her. I had a dear friend and he and I attended auctions together. The last day I spent with him he and I were bidding against each other for this doll (he on purpose for kicks). I won . We hugged and parted that day and 2 days later I got the news he had passed away. So that's why she's a keeper.
One thing I don't understand is people who call a doll creepy. I've never thought of any doll as creepy no matter what shape it's in. If they are ratty and dirty I just think they need a bath and hair combed. :-)
I love all dolls even the ones that are creepy on purpose. I think they called it a doll hoarder estate sale because they didn't understand she used to make dolls and when the market bottom fell out on ceramic dolls, she just couldn't sell them anymore. Besides, I am sure she was a doll lover and collector too. Thanks for sharing your story and for watching this video. 😊

The carpet bits inside were awful. If cleaned up and carpet removed, it was probably still in good shape.

i might have misspelled a word but you got the definition of "hoarder" incorrect. Hoarder is not an insult. to hoard is to carefully guard something of value, so a hoarder is someone who carefully guards something of value
