This is brilliant! Thank you. I figured out that during the rinse phase you can press the blinking coffee button to pause it so you can empty the cup without having to do fast swap cups.
Thank you very much for making this video. This is the best video for descaling Modo Mio. Lavazza shall put this video on their website, the one they have is pretty useless 🙂. Finally my coffee tastes fabulous again ♥️
I have spent nearly a year trying to find out how to descale my machine - ncluding contacting Lavazza! Brilliant video and it works! Now I understand what is going on. Lava\zz\ shuld get you to write their information books!! Thank you so much.
Good video for the early generation. Thanks. Just a warning, don't stop it half way through. I did and the machine was stuck. Contacted lavazza support who said they couldn't do anything. The machine "knew" it had not finished the cleaning cycle but would not go back into it. I ended up taking it apart to get to the logic board and eventually got it going again. It's working as new now. And for the last year I always let the descaling complete and it's been fine. Maybe it's a rare occurrence, but I certainly hit it.
Same here,it wouldn’t do anything until I used the jug and milk frother under. The water in my area isn’t hard and I use filtered water all the time so alternate the solution with filtered water through every other time the decalcification light comes on.
Thanks for this, a nice clear and concise guide for this task! As mentioned, the lavazza guide was confusing with a different button instruction given!
Really helpful, thank you! The Lavazza official guide video wasn't as helpful as this one - so thanks! I'm about to enjoy a coffee now!

Thanks for your tutorial, a great help. Lavazza machine purchased in 2024, struggled with descale, phoned help line was told that I must put the milk frothier jug etc in and turn the handle to the right to make the connection…… nothing about this in the manual!
Thank you, a very helpful video. My machine needed the jug with the milk frother in place to work but used the same buttons. I nearly wasted a whole bottle of the expensive Lavazza descaling solution trying to get it to work before I came across other comments. As I hadn’t had any problems with the flow, don’t live in a hard water area and use filtered water in the machine, I intend to just flush it through the next time the light goes on and just properly descale every other time.
Great video, tried looking all over the place to find how to perform this descaling procedure, great explanation! Lavazza should point customers to your TH-cam video. I hadn’t got any descaling fluid to hand because we live in a soft water area, so for the first go I just used the normal fresh water. However I did see some floaters in the first flush so I should get some fluid on our next order. Cheers!
Thank you! I think I might run mine through twice. It doesn't seem to give it much time to work on built up limescale 🤔 The water down here is so incredibly hard. I'm sure running the descaler fluid through twice will be better.
Very helpful video, this what is what TH-cam is all about! Its a modo mio (not M10). I'm sure you would have a ton more views if mio was in the title instead of M10
Might save someone a lot of time. On mine I had to press espresso and long espresso for 5 seconds to get into descaling mode. So that’s the button at 9 and 12 o’clock position.

Great tip!
Thank you! I’ve watched a few videos on descaling my machine. Your’s is the only one that helped.

Finally a clear, sensible, well delivered instruction video, without adverts, ridiculous accents or voices. Thank you

After failing to descale several times I used this method and it worked. Fabulous. Thanks.
Thanks, my unit seems to need the original jug and lip to perform the descale. + read individual descale instructions as for fluid amounts. Great vid.
Same here thanks

Same as ours. Handy video.

Thank you so much!!!! Mine needed this too! Lavazza website useless!
So how do you tell it to finish and remove its descaling reminder??

Very helpful 😊
How is it ready to make coffee again ?? You saying continue and use the descaling liquid to make the coffee??? Or rinse though 1st????
@@champchara8047 Perhaps watch the video through again?????
Mate, Thank you! I thought mine was broke!
Top man, thanks
Mine needed the jug and brother to be in place
La mía también, pero no se apaga la luz despues de pasar varios depositos de agua
@@paquisantoslopez5188I am finding this. How do I turn the light off??
Ive lost sound on the buttons of mine anyone know how to
How do I stop the descaling mode? It won’t stop!!
I believe that it stops once your descaling fluid has run dry, good luck!
Thank you! The official video makes no sense.
A Modo M10 😂
