It blows my mind how people can’t understand informed consent … if I asked my four-year-old if she wanted to try some of my alcoholic cocktail she would 100% say yes, Because they usually look really pretty and appealing but as an adult I know the risks around her having an alcoholic cocktail so I would obviously say no. I mean the fact that it’s illegal is beside the point because family blogging should be illegal. But what I’m saying is children can consent to most things, But they have no idea of the consequences for making those decisions and it’s our job as adults to protect them.

Since i was young my mom ingrained in us that anything adults do with children in excessive amounts is not normal. Movies, shows, volunteer time, church ect. So when my son would watch these "kid vlogs" I tried telling him it's not normal, and not good. One day after months of me watching this channel, my son said to me "youre right... I see the weird little cues and now I feel bad for the kids... I used to think Dougherty dozen kids were lucky but now I'm sad for them!" I wanted to jump with joy

Australia is putting laws together to stop young kids accessing social media. A 12 yr old girl unalived herself because of online bullying. She was a beautiful young girl. How does this happen???. Her school didn't help. The parents recently went to Parliament with their daughters ashes to discuss the beginning of making these new laws.
I don’t think the government will be able to stop that stuff. Until technology is more able to track people (and it’s getting there) kids can hide apps like that and lie about ages. Not to mention plenty of parents are willing to let their kids in through their social media. No. It’s going to take individual parents deciding that they rather do what’s best for their kids than being worried their kids will fit in. I think the parents getting their story out there is good though! It sounds like there have been some articles (since you’ve heard about it) and hopefully that will change another parents story💛💛💛
I was a victim when social media kind of started. It was awful because it didn't stop. When I would wake up there were more bad comments and messages. I tried to unalive myself at 16. That was in 2012. Can't imagine how it is now with TikTok and stuff..

I think its a strategic clickbait as their viewers are mostly naive kids and young people who want to be LIKE them- so they click on the video believing they're quitting for good. It will bring A LOT of attention to that video in particular. People are shocked they filmed shorts even after that video believing they quit youtube. Very strategic!

Also, she can’t continuously share every single child’s very intimate and personal lives online for over five years and then claim ignorance for all those five years when she’s had millions of people telling her it’s inappropriate. As a person who’s born in 2003 I grew watching family channel I didn’t think anything of it and thought it was fun and I really enjoyed it but I can’t imagine having my life in the internet for everyone to see, l have been through fazes of my life that I think is really embarrassing if they were in the internet so thankful for my parents and privacy that they gave me growing up
Similar situation here. I am from Europe and TH-cam recommended family vlogging vids to me. I watched them because I was interested in the life in the US because I didn't know anything about it. Now I am older and think differently. Sometimes I watch one or two videos. And I always see how sick the people in the comments are. They defend EVERYTHING those people do. Videos for memories.. sure. Why not make them private? Oh, well, no money then. It is ridiculous.

I decided to have a quick look through nen fams content and they’ve not removed anything that Tiffany said she feels horrible about filming and feels she shouldn’t have shared because of what her children have said to her over the years and now one of them saying before she went on a mission she no longer wants to be filmed and have her life private and keep all her memories she’s now gonna create private. I knew prior to they started family vlogging said child didn’t want to be filmed but was still apart of videos and had their life shared.

Two things about the thing at around 29:00 1) This show they have no privacy at all, she is having a heart to heart about her kid going through something, yet another siblings is there butting in? I know they are a big family but I'm sure if they are going through something sometimes they just want their parent to comfort them, care for them and to be able to have a one-on-one conversation with their caregiver, that's what parents are for. Maybe I read into that wrong and the other child was really helping which is that case my point still holds but yes it could be nice to get a siblings POV if say they've been through it but it also leads me onto my next point. 2) Basically, she's made her kids lack any empathy rather than teach them how to be empathic like you should as a parent?! That's what that's screaming to me. To my by that single comment from that teenage it basically coming across as brushing off their siblings feelings because CONTENT, like Josh said they are high groomed hence this thought in their head. Look, I’m obsessed with my child and there is always a camera in her face because I capture everything. But I put them on a family album that only the select handful of people ( grandparents, aunts and uncles ) can access. I keep these precious moments for us to enjoy and us only.

As if you don’t have more than enough to worry about having 15+ kids to raise properly, try to give each one on one attention, working w/ adopted kids specific needs so they thrive… you add in full time social media. The helping others content is just brainwashing your children to make them think they’re actually “helping others.” Go to your doctor if you need advice on your daughters mentstrual cycle. We don’t need videos of teens telling the world their experiences. That’s not normal.
Honestly, going the "whoever wants to be on camera" route is almost worse, because you just know those kids are going to feel like the ones who do go on camera are the favorites, so they'll feel like they have to even if they don't want to, just to get their mother's approval. Also it doesn't eliminate the problem of the camera being out there and the feeling that everything they do is a youtube content, even if they don't end up in the video themselves.
Of course they didn't delete any of those videos... she's saying specifically that "I regret this" so that people will go back NOW and watch those videos

I was a 2nd grade teacher for a decade and I assure you, the most obnoxious kids were always the ones looking to brag about their Christmas "haul" (as these kids referred to it) the day they got back from break. I made it a point to not allow all the sharing of "what I got for Christmas"; it was always, "What was your favorite part of break?" and I always began the sharing with a super simple, at home moment I shared with family (sitting on the porch drinking some hot cocoa watching the sun set, watching my mom open up a sentimental home-made gift I'd given her, etc.) Then, I would be sure to give my best attention and positive feedback to those kids who shared a great moment or a small, meaningful gift they gave or received - the kids who were bragging got nothing from me...
What you said about Jaine rings true. Last year she got married, but of course she didn't want it to be filmed. So Tiffany instead posted a video of everyone else in the family getting ready for the wedding, and she showed them at the reception. After just a couple of days, she took down the video. She must have gotten some flack about the video and/or had second thoughts about posting it. Idk why she even posted a video about a wedding in the first place when she can't show the bride and groom.
I just saw that JustAss bought a 2000$+ luxury Dior Bag as a DIAPER BAG for her Baby! All her comments were "You're going to be such a good mom". No, she will not. This is a luxury item most people won't be able to get for themselves ever. If you make good money and want to get a couple nice things for you ok go for it but that it ridiculous. Take the 2000$ and put them in a savings account for when that kid is grown up so they can have a good start in their adult life. That "everyone can spend their money however they want" is a lie, especially as a parent. It really gets me bc I came from a family where money was no problem growing up. My parents lost everything due to some bad choices when I was around 17/18 and had an awful start into my adult left with nothing and no savings. At 25 now I still struggle with some things because of it. So if you are really well off do your kid a favor and don't spend an insane amount of money in a luxury purse for your kid, get one from target or Amazon like everyone else. Kids don't need that but they might need the savings later in life. PS. I got that exact same bag last year from a Bazar (obviously it's not real) fro 25 bucks and it works as fine for me and I don't have to be worried it will get lost or stolen

I find it interesting that the kids are still so worried that they won't be able to show off their 'haul' at xmas. Proving they really are too young to understand what the mother is talking about. I promise kids can figure it out without their parents or youtube. I had a friend draw me step by step pictures of how to use a tampon because I "wasn't allowed". I managed just fine, no parents and no internet 😂
No offense, but I also find the friends teaching friends to put tampons in weird. There's nothing your friends can tell you that is not on the instructions inside of the box. There are pictures because they expect people that don't read or speak English to have to use them and they also have several different languages on the instructions. The kids teaching kids to use tampons is definitely something from the 2020s.
@nyouge I can assure you, there is lots a human with experience can tell you that isn't on the instructions. If for nothing else other than confidence, it is crucial for young women and girls to have an experienced support system in their lives. I didn't have that at home so I got it from a trusted friend. There's NOTHING wrong with that. If you think it's weird than don't do it, but I'm forever grateful to that friend who helped me get them and learn how to use them.

Really it makes sense that a healthy parent wouldn’t see their 5 year old in a crop top as dangerous. We just have to continue to be the example of what not to do and offer proof. I have a theory, but I’m not sure how TH-cam pays or clear on most of the analytics “behind the scenes”, so correct me if I’m wrong. My theory on her “awakening” and changing the way they film and blah blah blah going forward, but clearly stating in this video what they liked and disliked and NOT removing any old videos is she is pushing people to watch the old content to feed their own dopamine hits, so those older videos get more views=more money. (Does that make sense? I’m extremely tired and may edit this in the morning when I re-read it! 😂)
IF she has actually had a change of opinion, she'd remove all the videos. I truly wonder if this isn't happening because of the oldest of the group of five adopted children whose Mom died and Tiffany exploited even that. I hope so. It blows my mind how people can’t understand informed consent … if I asked my four-year-old if she wanted to try some of my alcoholic cocktail she would 100% say yes, Because they usually look really pretty and appealing but as an adult I know the risks around her having an alcoholic cocktail so I would obviously say no. I mean the fact that it’s illegal is beside the point because family blogging should be illegal.
But what I’m saying is children can consent to most things, But they have no idea of the consequences for making those decisions and it’s our job as adults to protect them.

Since i was young my mom ingrained in us that anything adults do with children in excessive amounts is not normal. Movies, shows, volunteer time, church ect. So when my son would watch these "kid vlogs" I tried telling him it's not normal, and not good. One day after months of me watching this channel, my son said to me "youre right... I see the weird little cues and now I feel bad for the kids... I used to think Dougherty dozen kids were lucky but now I'm sad for them!" I wanted to jump with joy

Australia is putting laws together to stop young kids accessing social media. A 12 yr old girl unalived herself because of online bullying. She was a beautiful young girl. How does this happen???. Her school didn't help. The parents recently went to Parliament with their daughters ashes to discuss the beginning of making these new laws.

I don’t think the government will be able to stop that stuff. Until technology is more able to track people (and it’s getting there) kids can hide apps like that and lie about ages. Not to mention plenty of parents are willing to let their kids in through their social media. No. It’s going to take individual parents deciding that they rather do what’s best for their kids than being worried their kids will fit in.

I was a victim when social media kind of started. It was awful because it didn't stop. When I would wake up there were more bad comments and messages. I tried to unalive myself at 16. That was in 2012. Can't imagine how it is now with TikTok and stuff..

I think its a strategic clickbait as their viewers are mostly naive kids and young people who want to be LIKE them- so they click on the video believing they're quitting for good. I decided to have a quick look through nen fams content and they’ve not removed anything that Tiffany said she feels horrible about filming and feels she shouldn’t have shared because of what her children have said to her over the years and now one of them saying before she went on a mission she no longer wants to be filmed and have her life private and keep all her memories she’s now gonna create private. I knew prior to they started family vlogging said child didn’t want to be filmed but was still apart of videos and had their life shared.

Two things about the thing at around 29:00 1) This show they have no privacy at all, she is having a heart to heart about her kid going through something, yet another siblings is there butting in? I know they are a big family but I'm sure if they are going through something sometimes they just want their parent to comfort them, care for them and to be able to have a one-on-one conversation with their caregiver, that's what parents are for. Maybe I read into that wrong and the other child was really helping which is that case my point still holds but yes it could be nice to get a siblings POV if say they've been through it but it also leads me onto my next point. 2) Basically, she's made her kids lack any empathy rather than teach them how to be empathic like you should as a parent?! That's what that's screaming to me. To my by that single comment from that teenage it basically coming across as brushing off their siblings feelings because CONTENT, like Josh said they are high groomed hence this thought in their head. That poor child (I know they are a teen but still..)

The helping others content is just brainwashing your children to make them think they’re actually “helping others.” Go to your doctor if you need advice on your daughters mentstrual cycle. We don’t need videos of teens telling the world their experiences. That’s not normal.
Honestly, going the "whoever wants to be on camera" route is almost worse, because you just know those kids are going to feel like the ones who do go on camera are the favorites, so they'll feel like they have to even if they don't want to, just to get their mother's approval. Also it doesn't eliminate the problem of the camera being out there and the feeling that everything they do is a youtube content, even if they don't end up in the video themselves.

I was a 2nd grade teacher for a decade and I assure you, the most obnoxious kids were always the ones looking to brag about their Christmas "haul" (as these kids referred to it) the day they got back from break. I made it a point to not allow all the sharing of "what I got for Christmas"; it was always, "What was your favorite part of break?" and I always began the sharing with a super simple, at home moment I shared with family (sitting on the porch drinking some hot cocoa watching the sun set, watching my mom open up a sentimental home-made gift I'd given her, etc.) Then, I would be sure to give my best attention and positive feedback to those kids who shared a great moment or a small, meaningful gift they gave or received - the kids who were bragging got nothing from me...

So Tiffany instead posted a video of everyone else in the family getting ready for the wedding, and she showed them at the reception. After just a couple of days, she took down the video. She must have gotten some flack about the video and/or had second thoughts about posting it. Idk why she even posted a video about a wedding in the first place when she can't show the bride and groom.
I just saw that JustAss bought a 2000$+ luxury Dior Bag as a DIAPER BAG for her Baby! All her comments were "You're going to be such a good mom". No, she will not. This is a luxury item most people won't be able to get for themselves ever. If you make good money and want to get a couple nice things for you ok go for it but that it ridiculous. Take the 2000$ and put them in a savings account for when that kid is grown up so they can have a good start in their adult life. That "everyone can spend their money however they want" is a lie, especially as a parent. It really gets me bc I came from a family where money was no problem growing up. My parents lost everything due to some bad choices when I was around 17/18 and had an awful start into my adult left with nothing and no savings. At 25 now I still struggle with some things because of it. So if you are really well off do your kid a favor and don't spend an insane amount of money in a luxury purse for your kid, get one from target or Amazon like everyone else. Kids don't need that but they might need the savings later in life.
PS. I got that exact same bag last year from a Bazar (obviously it's not real) fro 25 bucks and it works as fine for me and I don't have to be worried it will get lost or stolen

It's one thing to violate and completely screw up your own biological children, but it's a completely different to take a child that has already been traumatized and through hell into your home and continue to further abuse and exploit them.... It's a whole another level of craziness and it should be criminalized. Many agencies do not allow foster or adoptive children (especially if you are receiving funds for them) to be on camera.

I was supporting Josh, many years back. When I trusted him, but it turns out that actually he was totally wrong and supported wrong side. After that I can not trust him at all. Back than he had twisted mind.
It was the case, about little girl, victim of parent divorce. Unfortunately I forgot the girl name. Father was wrongly accusing the mother and step father like stepfather was obusing little girl and that mother did not do anything about that. Those were all wrong facts stated by father and supported by Josh. Josh was supporting father and even started Go fund me for farther and apparently for the lawyer costs. They collected hundreds of thousands of dollars. Even I contributed. So they tricked naive people to give the money to layer and bad person (father), who acutely used money for vacation with his girlfriend and baying car. They wanted to arrest mother and step father who actually did not do anything wrong. So that was huge accusations And huge mistakeHow I can trust Josh now. He was accusing wrong people and supporting wrong people and tricked naive followers.
With behaviour now Josh does not promise too much now. His behaviour is not behaviour of the normal person. He made huge mistake once, he can do it again. He does not look to me trustful. With his behaviour he does not promise anything. All his ugly grimaces tells me that he is not well in his mind. Since then I am very careful who should I trust, and who I should not.
Have you seen Kass’s video? Of them “moving house for privacy” 🤣 yet they share EVERY moment of their life on TH-cam, therefore they will never ever have “privacy” 🤦🏻♀️

I think Shari Franke has a lot to do with this, there are changes coming to family vlogging in Utah and they are trying to get ahead of it. Cover the damage of whatever has happened. Multiple times their address has been shown, the outside of the house and neighborhood, where they shop, eat and play, and the routes they take to get there. Vehicles, license plates, Houses have been broken into, kids being harrassed, threatened, stalked, yeah. They did a Halloween party recently with lots of other kids and the cops showed up, ostensibly a noise complaint, but I think there is a lot more to that. Kids being filmed without consent, huge party with no supervision.....

These are the only children who sit still .Missing are 2 littler boys who are probably playing. They others are all adults and not at home anymore.
Kids watching her videos make kids in the real world feel like their lives are horrible. They don't live in a castle, no vacations, hand me down clothes, no shopping at Ulta, buy expensive makeup, have their own room and certainly not professionally designed and decorated.

She had 2 of the kids talk about how they felt when their biological mother died. I don't know if she has deleted that. The amount of skin care products her little kids use is weird. I find it interesting that the kids are still so worried that they won't be able to show off their 'haul' at xmas. Proving they really are too young to understand what the mother is talking about. Wouldlove to see a child psychologists views on this.
I promise kids can figure it out without their parents or youtube. I had a friend draw me step by step pictures of how to use a tampon because I "wasn't allowed". I managed just fine, no parents and no internet 😂
No offense, but I also find the friends teaching friends to put tampons in weird. There's nothing your friends can tell you that is not on the instructions inside of the box. There are pictures because they expect people that don't read or speak English to have to use them and they also have several different languages on the instructions. The kids teaching kids to use tampons is definitely something from the 2020s.
@nyouge I can assure you, there is lots a human with experience can tell you that isn't on the instructions. If for nothing else other than confidence, it is crucial for young women and girls to have an experienced support system in their lives. I didn't have that at home so I got it from a trusted friend. There's NOTHING wrong with that. If you think it's weird than don't do it, but I'm forever grateful to that friend who helped me get them and learn how to use them.

I don’t let the kids in my life wear that stuff when I take them out and I just use it as an opportunity to say our worth is not in our bodies, but our hearts until they are old enough to understand there are a lot of gross people in the world and everyone has a camera on them.

I had just seen a documentary about a whole network in the darknet with people who use that kind of footage from my country. It was shocking. But I am the creep, sure 😂😂

I have a theory, but I’m not sure how TH-cam pays or clear on most of the analytics “behind the scenes”, so correct me if I’m wrong. My theory on her “awakening” and changing the way they film and blah blah blah going forward, but clearly stating in this video what they liked and disliked and NOT removing any old videos is she is pushing people to watch the old content to feed their own dopamine hits, so those older videos get more views=more money. (Does that make sense? I’m extremely tired and may edit this in the morning when I re-read it! 😂)
IF she has actually had a change of opinion, she'd remove all the videos. I truly wonder if this isn't happening because of the oldest of the group of five adopted children whose Mom died and Tiffany exploited even that. I hope so. I hope she is speaking up for her siblings and herself and pushes to remove their story. And I hope it gives the others self confidence and power to say "NO MORE filming me"
