Boss #66 - Shardbearer Mohg [TROPHY]
Location: Mohgwyn Palace, accessed through portal in West Mountaintops (see boss video for full path)
Difficulty: 3/10 with Comet Azur & Rock Sling spells and 1600+ health
Strategy: Basically a 1:1 copy of Mohg, the Omen but in a much larger arena so it's easier to get away from him and spam him with long-range spells. Immediately after entering the boss fight, summon your Mimic Tear ashen remains, then drink your Wondrous Mix with Cerulean Hidden Tear for infinite FP and use Comet Azur Spell to take like 50-80% of his health in one go. Then just finish him off with Rock Sling spell, he is very weak to this gravity spell and gets stunned every 4 hits or so. Your Mimic Tear will distract him. Easy fight with these two spells, only annoying part is when he does some AoE red mist attack that hits you from anywhere, keep drinking health flasks quickly until he stops and you'll survive.

This game is insane. 30 hours in and I haven't even started.
Just hit hour 90 and I know there's at least 2 locations I haven't reached yet.

@@joddog Well, it doesn't necessarily mean he is bad at the game, but he was literally exploring every little corner of the map and found nothing. People took "open world" so seriously haha

1:04 the guys here give around 2.5k xp (with scarab talisman) and they’re fairly easy kills. Found it to be a good mid game rune gain.
There's one chicken which gives 13k runes

This tunnel is a bit more difficult than most. Possibly because of that scary mob and it distracts you from where you are. You can go around in a circle basically, with this blood thirsty dude on your tail. But. If you go the right way, you leave the guy in the dust pretty early on.
If anyone wanted to do this boss before unlocking the northern area, there's a questline in Liurnia that gives you an item that's called "Pureblood Knight's Medal".
The medal is a reuseable consumable that when used transports you to the blood area of the underground, similar to the portal shown in this video.
The questline isn't long, the only annoying part is having to invade three players' worlds when the PvP is pretty broken right now. You don't have to win though, just invade three people and it progresses the quest.
I wouldn't recommend fighting him that early, but for people wanting a challenge, or to just sequence break and do him whenever you want it's an option.
I played a melee build all the way to the mountain of the giant but after nearly 100 hours slogging it this way and some bosses stupidly hard I just switch to a magic build at level 170 and just melted the end game bosses this way, I don’t know how id beat them with my melee build
What build are you following now?
James Alexander i got to final boss as a magic build and then switched back to melee for the the Elden beast then switched to a build around the fallingstar beast jaw for Malenia and got the 1000g yesterday

Some ashes of war is how i remain melee. Especially the blasphemous blade

You can just use the pureblood knights medal to travel there. You don't have to go to the snowy side

whats talisman are you using? i see you using magic but dont consume magic point in especific time
It's not a talisman its a cerulian tear you can get by killing the tree spirit by Northern minor erdtree of the volcano to make a wondrous physick. Couple it with magic boost "shrouding cracked tear" from Liurnia Erdtree Avatar
Cerulean hidden tear lets you use magic without consuming fp for ten seconds
Ive opened up this area of the map but the portal doesnt seem to be active, is there something i must do to activate it? Any help is much obliged!
you have to kiill the enemies sitting by the door or the portal will not be active. once you kill them the portal will be active.

There is an item called Cerulean Hidden Tear can do this. You can acquire it at the little Gold tree located northeast of the volcano.

theres a different Mohg thats in the sewers and u get a trophy from that too, his name is Mohg The Omen.
@@candjplaysxd6897 Thanks for replying. I got first Omen trophy but second one was locked until I solved deleted save file and restart PS5 then Redownload save file then after I defeat him I wait like 2 hours until unlocked finally.
use his binding stone in front of his boss door and he gets stuck, as long as you dont hit him with melee. Spend 45 min hitting him in the face with a bow, toss pots at him, go for a nap, its all good because he wont ever move haha
You find his binding stone somewhere in the sewers of the capitol city*
It also works good for the first half of the fight if you dont want to cheat haha

So happy they nerfed the mimic tear as of today. A summon shouldn't be that tanky IMO.
