    Kinda bizzares me how people here can bring someone down for an opinion "ohh spawn just get gud"....the problem is... ive seen yall play this game before 🤣..80% of yall are ass

    Sorry but this really isn’t a problem.
    There’s so many ways to easily solve what you said. -9 launcher that is 19 frames can literally be interrupted by almost any move upon learning the animation.
    When Leo does bok2 u can literally hop kick it the moment u see the animation. Or block, realise they like to use it and side walk or side step into block or duck next time.
    Tekken is all about learning people’s tendencies as fast as possible and punishing them for it. Space, Good Movement, blocking and just paying attention to what people are doing will get you smashing 70% of the player base. Chars like feng are a pain but it ain’t that deep. Defence isn’t just blocking and getting rewarded for it.

      Tekken has always been about hard reads that's what makes it impressive when high level players showcase it to us....tekken 8 turn for the casino kinda of gameplay it isn't footsies anymore it's a 50/50 casino

    • @theoblitz3054
      @theoblitz3054 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@GoSpawn_ tekken 8 in the beginning was casino. Not anymore ,although it has more fake 50/50 scenarios than t7.
      T8 however allows people to disrespect frames way more than t7, which makes players have to enforce their frame advantage properly.
      Therefore most 50/50 aren’t actually true 50/50 but more of a mental stack. (Hence the game draining people way more than before) because you have the opportunity to disrupt people who take their 50/50 for granted. Keep in mind there are allot of option selects with side steps being more viable.
      All in all T7 is a game where u just blocked and got rewarded for just blocking and playing safe, but it’s a fighting game? And in fighting, long periods of defending is reserved for the very elite athletes because it’s not something anyone can do. Fighting in general rewards the oppressor until the one defending find their moment to block, move and counter appropriately to win or get out of the situation. So yes absolute defence has always been harder than offence.

      @@GoSpawn_Ok so I’m gonna be honest man people have a Triple +S in bitching/moaning/incompetence , you sir have opened up good reasoning to these points but , I just power through the changes and I study this game hard when I have time ,I was almost Tekken king with Azucena with all her needed nerfs but one day I stopped playing and shot back down to fujin from being that I was mentally draining myself not the game , the game draws energy out of me to keep going , my BIGGEST problem is the points system ESPECIALLY on a 3-0 when someone is HIGHER RANK than you

  • @Richie4Z

    I appreciate the input that defense is not rewarded much in this game but you're missing a major point here. If you play this game fr you have to pay attention to what your opponent is doing and adjust accordingly even if it's frustrating it is what the game demands of you. That comes with time and experience it's all about gathering information from your opponents tendencies. there is counter play to virtually every single abusable move in the game except for some very rare exceptions and that's what the practice mode/replay feature is for. For example you can option select Leo by side stepping right and ducking, the character is balanced by being very linear. I agree that Tekken 8 is busted compared to T7 at the end of life cycle but they have made changes with community feedback in mind and will continue to. At the end of the day you have your reasons not to enjoy the game and by no means are you entitled to play it if its no longer fun for you.

    I dont want to discount your complaints. But I think it's important to remember that something certain characters have like safe launching mids and other things that might seem on a surface level cheap, should be taken in the context of the character as an entire package.
    For example, with Nina, she might have some of the highest concentration of safe launching mids on one character. But what's an undeniable property of Nina? She needs to be up your asscrack to get any of those off and her df2, her only 15f safe normal hit launcher is incredibly stubby and does not launch crouching opponents. So she's got a scuffed df2 and abysmal range on something most characters just have as a default. As well as terrible range on all her other safe launchers.
    Basically when characters appear to have some incredible cheap, strong aspect of their design, it's usually because there's a compromise somewhere else.

    • @GoSpawn_
      @GoSpawn_  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's the problem ....with Bandai introducing the heat system to t8 this makes characters like nina, dragnov, Alisa strengths look soo strong that u just bypass the weaknesses...nina wants to be up close?...so the heat system allows her to do that by 10 fold

    • @ayylmao752
      @ayylmao752 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@GoSpawn_ I mean to you that might seem like a strength but to me it kind of sounds like a draw back. the mere fact that I have to get a heat engage off, that is either bad frames or -14 on block on Nina, to run her gameplan aside from her being at wall, that is already proof enough to me that there's thought behind the character design. the fact that she can't threaten her safe launchers 24/7 and that she either has to have wall or expend a valuable resource and threat is a good enough, interesting, interactive compromise.
      As far as her power goes, she got toned down in the last patch, she still could use some more toning down, but the making her more steppable thing knocked her down a leg for sure. The game *is* getting more balanced and defense oriented as time goes on and characters like Nina and Hwoarang have alot more trouble threatening safe launchers and moves that shouldn't home and as a result have to get more creative, and defensive, to threaten their offense.
      Of course there's still overpowered characters. and there always will be. but I just rarely find myself agreeing with complaints revolved around a single aspect of a characters kit. usually there's a reason. That's all I'm getting at. I think that what im saying can only be said so far. some characters in t8 have definitely gone past that threshold

    Fengs db3 is launch punishable on block and doesn’t do damage unless it counter hits. Feng has always been like this tbh, heavy poke game but now he’s got some damage to go with it. Haradas main ain’t gonna get nerfed that hard lol.

    I agree with you take, people love saying just step. Stepping should give big rewards but blocking should at least be enough to punish these fat launchers that start so quick or have crushing properties. Tekken need to be consistent and not have matchups feel janky and force you to lab every nonsense if you care about climbing

    Most high rank players have low defence stat. That is fact from what i saw. And you see them mostly gravitate to a few characters at higher ranks. they still want to say it is a skill issue. You are right, in my opinion.
    There is little counterplay and too many panic moves that are free to keep trying. And you must make hard call outs to counter it

    • @ayylmao752
      @ayylmao752 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think one of the most accepted and notable thing about high rank players is they do not play off of startup frames, and frame traps. Because those types of tricks don't work at high tier play. Most of them are moving in between each attack. In other words theyre waiting for you to whiff or use a move they *know* they can punish. That's quintessential defensive tekken play. High rank players are generally very defensive. and this is immediately obvious when you reach blue ranks and you start getting some tekken emperors and tekken gods in your games occasionally and you contrast their play with the fujins. Theyre playing an entirely different game.

    • @HachiSpirit
      @HachiSpirit 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ayylmao752 Some are very defensive. You are right. Most are players i bodied back in previous tekken games that now can keep me more so guessing for my life somehow. High level tekken is pretty defensive, but not high rank in a consistent way.. imo.

    • @GoSpawn_
      @GoSpawn_  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's wayyy to aggressive and plus the nerf to movement and sidesteping makes it feel even more awful....there were things I could sidestep in t7 with leo but now I can't in this game...and most of the time im forced to hold a 50/50 in a game where ur "SUPPOSED" to have option to defend against things like that but u dont

    • @HachiSpirit
      @HachiSpirit 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @GoSpawn_ they are slowly trying to make the game a 3d again by making heat burst and command grabs steppable.. but there is way too many high frame advantage moves that are just straight absurd where you can't move on such plus frames and need to eat a mix. They tailored this game for worse players to one up on players they shouldn't necessarily be beating. At least you got the balls to say what it is.. others will follow the other and regurgitate the (skill issue) crap.

    Tekken is hard. It is more of playing against the player than the characters.
    With some practice, you will end up understanding player tendencies after a round or two, then your defense mode kicks in.
    Also every character has some OP values. It is about learning how to deal with moves when playing as an opponent and it takes time.
    But I do see why you feel this is not the game for you. Good luck
