I did a stitch like that with a friend. Same pattern but we picked our own fabric and flosses and only took pics in black and white to show each other progress and gave them to each other as gifts. It was so fun!

We also have a very small LNS and their floss is around $1.20. I'm usually ordering from 123 Stitch and waiting 2 weeks for it to be delivered to me just so I can save some $$. Whenever I make it to the States, I always hit up a Michael's or Joann to stock up 😁 Thank you to you both for the inspiration!

JoAnn in Brandon, FL, has DMC for .66 cents per skein but I only buy when they have a sale (which means they're usually out of a dozen colors or more.) Michael's charges 69 cents I believe but usually has a 20% off coupon.

Congrats on the shop opening! Your model stitches are gorgeous! I planned on starting Yellow Submarine in Feb. but I got caught up in my Carolyn Manning and can’t seem to put it down. I was thrifting yesterday and found a bag full of wooden hoops. There were 3 Princess and one Duchess. They have the stamps on the side but not the stainless steel hinge thing. I never would have given them a second glance except that Stephanie loves them so much. One is a cute little oval. Unfortunately it has a crack. 2 are in very good condition I paid $7 for the bag. I’ll try them and see if I like using them. Happy stitching!

Great video! I recently discovered DMC is cheapest at Hobby Lobby in Indiana. It's cheaper that Joann's or Michael's. I think it's about 54 cents a skein.
You two are so amazing! Congrats on opening your Etsy - well deserved Stephanie! About DMC - it’s almost impossible to get in Austria. Here is more Anchor. But both are between 1.70 to 2 Euros a skein so very very expensive. I can order them from Germany for 1 Euro but shipping is super expensive. I recently started using CXC that I order from the Uk which comes out to be about 25 cents a skein including shipping if I order a bunch ;)

Hi, I'm from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧 and dmc is £1.50 in Hobbycraft which is the only big chain of a hobby shop. Sewing shops are non existent where I live so the online place I go to (ironically which is local) but is only online sells dmc for 99p and that's one of the cheapest. I had to kit up a pattern a few weeks ago that had 48 colours in. I do have to factor in as only one kit can become expensive and and does influence the patterns I choose as for me I have to justify the expense, but if it has a lot of skeins I just have to save up and to be honest it is still works out as the cheapest hobby I do because of how long it takes me to stitch each project. House.

Next time you come to the US look for a Hobby Lobby to buy your floss. It's cheaper than Michael's and Joanne's. It's about 54 cents a skein.

I have some with cracks and I use washi tape to keep them together. They are probably still useable. Amazing find! Congrats!
