- Merseyrail give the public a look at the new Class 777's. Boasting faster acceleration for all the speed fans!
All the stops out for a well staffed event allowing the public to come and walk around a functioning 777 #10 static train , plenty of staff happy to talk though all the new features including USB charging on every seat, folding seats and 'bike stands'

Its very nice ..... but ..... the Class 777 looks more like a tram than a heavy rail train.
I think your right David, talking to the very helpful staff there's more seats, more capacity and way more efficient, just like a tram on rails!
@@CrispysProjectsyes. Beats the old heavy rail Class 507/8's hands down from that respect. Whilst I'm a big fan of trams I prefer the 'look' of a heavy rail train running on heavy rail infrastructure though. Looks like a lot of people arn't going to miss the 507/8's one little bit when the 777's fully replace them.
