I took my husband there for his 75th birthday. It was on his bucket list and he hasn't stopped talking about it (it's been a year). They have strict rules of clothing and behavior which I appreciated for our safety. The wolves were not like 'puppies'...all cuddly and waggly because they are wild animals. They were however interested and friendly. I was never afraid but we were both thrilled to pieces. Probably will go again sometime. We both have a greater appreciation for preserving wolves in the wild.

Wolves are amazing animals, they're so smart and have such an interesting dynamic. Any chance to get up close with wild animals is a special experience. We're going back there in the fall. Hope you can make it back soon!

So I moved to florida from washington state where there is a wolf sanctuary where you are not allowed to touch or go near the wolves as a visitor, what is the difference between here and there? Is it state laws? Also in washington owning hybrid wolf dogs is illegal where in florida I have met quite a few just in st pete, what's up with that?
