Nice. I bought this in ea after your video back then . Played about half way through it , saved the rest for full release. It’s cool when an ea title actually makes it .
@@SimplexPL In my mind GRAVEN has been in ea for 15 years, but ea release is May, 2021. Maybe I was following it for much longer and played demo on Steam fests few times.
6:55 - Midway through this music I had to pause and think for a moment... That's giving me really strong _Masterplan - Spirit Never Die_ vibes! That repeating, high-intensity beat. Yeah, that's a banger. I'll have to search for the other tracks you mentioned.
Good to see they kept working on it. I tried the demo a while back and found it frustrating and middle of the road. The enemy hitboxes on the one I do remember (as in one enemy I remember at all) seemed really scuffed, so I uninstalled it and mostly forgot it existed.
@@rumatadestora Thanks! :) I personally think that Polish gamedev has been strong for the past 10 years, and especialy since Witcher 3 release (2015). But I may be biased because I'm Polish :D
This game really good! I love they make it more solid boomer shooter. The fast paced and slow mo makes more action packed. The core gameplay and upgrade system pretty stiff since you need find some emblem by into the secret. This is what I recommend for all people who want play fast paced.
I thought it sounded like the dev just did it himself. But they really should find a voice actor and redub. It is SO BAD. I bet they could find someone on Fiverr who would be a vast improvement
Gotta disagree entirely. I disliked this game so much. I found it so bland, uninteresting, and generic that it made me take a boomer shooter hiatus. The upgrade system is the type to start you out feeling weak as all hell just so the upgrades can get you to feel like the average fps protagonist. I felt more powerful in Quake and Dusk than I ever did in this game. The music is quite genuinely nauseating, and I'm surprised anyone enjoyed it. It might have been alright in short bursts, but it loops constantly to the point where I had to mute it if I wanted to retain any sanity while hunting for super secrets. I also felt that the super secrets absolutely destroyed the already borked pacing. Scouring the uninteresting levels for 30 minutes searching for secrets while listening to the soundtrack on an endless loop has to be one of the most unpleasant gaming experiences in recent memory. I quite literally felt ill by the third episode with the incessant wailing of the metal/sea shanty induced tracks. I feel bad dogging on indie games, but man, I hated this game. Which sucks because I really wanted to like it and support the devs, but there are so many other games that are more deserving of anyone's time than...this.
this is exactly what my first impressions were. the game initially felt so bland it gave me depression lmao. both the starter weapon(dualies and pump action)feels horrible to play with. the starter katana that you get from the beginning feels super satisfying but the cooldown is too long so you gotta fall back on firearms. pump action sh0tgun doesnt have satisfying kickback or punch, the dualies feel odd to play initially. the game felt so cheap and bland it p^ssed me off and didnt touch the game for weeks. but then i gave it another go and holy fk this game is amazing. the dual handguns exclusively feel amazing in the slow-mo reflex mode with the early game found golden rune called "Neo" that gives infinite pistol ammo/no-reload/massive dmg boost while in slow-mo mode, once you upgrade your character(which is not hard) to gain higher amount of more slow-mo energy at a higher rate. you will be exclusively using dualies in the slow-mo mode. the pump action sh0tgun completely changes how it feels and looks with another golden rune that makes the enemy freeze and slow down when you hit them while leaving satifying bullet trails. i made a certain build with specific upgrade ruins made it so that i was only spamming the bow and katana throws only without ever waiting for cooldown sitting ducks. consistently using the bow and Katana/javelin exclusively without any firearms (upgrades that gives a chance to cooldown each arrow fired instantly/increases arrow capacity/"Lucky" gold rune that increases the rng even more), another rune made it so that based on rng you intantly cooldown the katana throw and (almost spam it)and combined with "lucky" sometimes you will get to spam 3/4 katana throws back to back triggering the instant cooldown. there is another rune that gives damage boost to subsequent arrows fired , it makes it so that you dont want to wait to hold/charge each arrow rather spam all of it for the massive damage boost with every next arrows and with it you can instakill miniboosses purely via bow/arrow spam. there is another gold rune for SSG that increases your damage for every enemies thatare around you which means in combat encounter with large crowd+miniboss you will ignore the grunt enemies to keep them alive and jump in towards for the dangerous miniboss to finish him off with SSG dmg boost encouraging a riskier playstyle but also massively rewarding it. another rune called "Cutter" turns the SSG into a x-bow looking thing that shoots a vertical blade thingy that slices and rips through all enemies vertically in its vertical path makes it feel like you are playing the dead space with Line Guns/Plasma Cutter lmao every golden rune upgrades are amazing and massive playstyle changer. and not to mention the level design is really fking solid and the most engaging/intriguing/rewarding secret hunting ever in any FPS. but you gotta find the upgrade runes and engage with level design/secret hunting. and thats fine since the secret/puzzles are so fun to engage with also the game tracks your progress so when u replay mission you get to keep all your upgrades, also NG+ unlocks when you are halfway through the game too and i wish more game did that. i'd say give thegame another go cuz dread templar has been the best fps of 2023 for me

the guy who did the soundtrack also did ashes 2063 soundtrack
One of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long while and quick swapping through weapons is disgustingly devastating.
Oh yeah the soundtrack is just delightful. So, so, so much fun.

@@KIRKCOLLECTS it was easy because of Valorant addiction taking up all my time 😅
Finally! There are prolly like 6-7 ea shooters I'm waiting to come out. Had a blast with earlier builds, very solid retro shooter.

That one track sounds like the amazing Morbid Angel. Awesome!
So many great retro shooters, so little time to play all of them.
The Hellsrceam also consume 4 bullet per shot with slower fire rate
Excellent, I think it's time to purchase this.
Doooo it!
Looks fantastic.
This game + the music is probably what cocaine and epinephrine feels like when you combine them
