But, Jimin's the Lead Vocal, who, in KPop, must be able to consistently sing one octave, at the minimum, higher or lower than the Main Vocal. Since we all know JK is already an amazing tenor, Jimin using his virtuosic upper range with that vocal color quality just makes sense, considering that we also have Tae with his nice baritone in the group.
@@jasb9170 I disagree with most of that statement. While some of that may have been true at one time, I don't see much range from him anymore. He used to sing with his chest and now it's all nasally and high pitched squeaking for some reason. Perfect example is save me. He used to sing it beautifully when it came out but when he sings it more recently in their tiny desk concert it sounds like a completely different person singing. Just pointing out that his voice wasn't always so stereotypically "feminine" and it definitely isn't a "unique quality". I agree with you that it does sound a little insane tho. Peace ✌️

Great reaction, another Brit being clued in to just how great these young men are! Can I just say, you have NO idea what you're in for if you do! They're not the biggest in the world for nothin' and the fandom majority is from 20-80's and I'm 54. So welcome to the best experience of your life, I really hope you continue, especially if you love great music. As one rapper reacting to BTS said, they are real MC's - no idea what he meant by that, but he was really impressed! Of course RM (formerly known as Rap Monster, now Real Me or just RM, IQ 148) is one of the main writers with Suga and J-Hope. Suga (as in sugar, comes from Shooting Guard, his favourite position to play in basketball) were underground rappers (that's a whole other story there!) and J-Hope or Hobi learnt when he joined. He was a street dancer who won Nat Competitions. And of course the rest who are vocalists: Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook, are insanely talented. They are really sincere, genuine, humble artists who write their own songs based on their personal life experience and NOT on sappy love songs. They have group songs and solo's. They do everything as authentically as can be done (their MV's esp) and hardly auto-tune. Their live vocals are even better than recorded! Their music label Big Hit's (now Hybe) mission statement is 'Music & Artist for Healing' and they mean it. They have a genuine love for A.R.M.Y. and vice versa (never before seen, esp in K-POP), a relationship that has led to a lot of jealousy and misunderstandings, calling the fandom 'crazy' or 'teenage girls' alluding to brainless idiots. (Bit like football/soccer fans then!! 🤔 just kidding). Don't make the mistake of pigeon holing them in any way, they are very diverse and amazing performers but in real life can be real chaotic and funny. Their history, which has been a hard road for them, made them into a genuine brotherhood and they really love and care for each other. Nothing hinky, just real brothers who have been through hell together and made it, through their determination and damn hard work. It's a real tale of the underdog making it big. The ultimate rags to riches story with a lot of battles against prejudice/hatred etc and not being taken seriously just because they speak a different language. It's their personalities that make you fall in love with them, and of course the rest is the icing on the cake! Plus, they're NOT BORING! There are no girls in BTS that is Jimin you heard he's a contemporary dancer, hip hop dancer oh and he put's his martial arts skills into some of his dancing.
For the most part, BTS' live performances sound even better than the studio recordings.....PLUS you get to see them dance while they sing. Check out the MMA 2019, 2018, 2021 Asian Music Awards show performances (first one is 39 minutes long but it's nothing like I've ever seen before and I'm an old ARMY).

here are some recommendations to see some more of bts, make sure to put captions on in english: "Blackswan" "ON" - there are two videos u could watch, either one is good imo but others prefer the kinetic manifesto tbh, some of their best songs are the ones without music videos, so if you would be up for that, i recommend "we on" "love maze" "rain" *make sure to watch the color coded lyric videos for these songs and pay attention to the color code lmao they have solo and sub unit songs too which are amazing. "Outro:tear" - by the rapline (RM, Suga, J-hope) there isnt a music video, but theres a live performance with lyrics on the screen "ddaeng" -by the rapline again, there is only a live performance or lyric videos. sadly its not on spotify because it was a soundcloud release for free. "intro:persona" -by RM. the official video is the comeback trailer "MORE" - by Jhope "daechwita"-by Suga, known as Agust D for his solo projects "serendipity" -by jimin. there is a music video but the live version is even better. "euphoria" -by Jungkook. theres a music video but its also kindo of storyline heavy (bts have a continuing storyline throught a lot of their content) so the live performance may be better "the astronaut" -by Jin "singularity" -by V there is a LOT more but i dont want to overwhelm you, in the case that you do read this, but just know that they have songs of other genres that i havent mentioned. also they're all men, Jimin just has an especially higher voice. thankyou for taking the time to read this long comment

HOLY CRAP did you open a can of worms asking if you should watch any more BTS videos......I am probably one of the oldest members of ARMY there is.....their talent, precision, work ethic, etc., is why they are the #1 group on the planet. If you really research each individual, they are amazing artists in their own right. They have all done work and cut albums outside of BTS and they have teamed up with some huge artists. SUGA is my dude.....he has an amazing flow and his changes are amazing. HIs "alter ego" is Agust D and he did a trilogy of work and they all look like movies. They are all singers, dancers, composers, and do a lot of producing and writing for other artists, globally, not just Korean. The hottest band on the PLANET and they can't win a Grammy Award.....just goes to show you how "rigged" those award shows are! BTS - ON is amazing! They can keep up this energy and intensity for a whole concert. Their stamina & determination to give their audience an unforgettable concert experience is admirable. I’ve seen them 6 times in concert & no other group or artist outdoes them in performance. Beyoncé w her live vocals, choreo & stage sets is up there with them but that’s it.

They really are some of the best rappers in the industry. And I'm talking the entire music industry! So if rap and hip hop is your thing check out Outro: Tear live from Wembley Stadium and Cyphers 1-4 by the rap line and Mic Drop, Not Today and Black Swan by the entire group. To understand their hip hop background and rap role models go for Hip Hop Lover. These guys are the real deal. The concert opened up they came on stage they performed what are their older big hits mic drop when it finished, they went right into this song they're new at one of their newest bait hits from 2022 right after this one they went in to the third song immediately after this one of their hits from about five or six years ago! This is the second song of about a three-hour concert! In a new concert venue in Korea that holds about 80,000 expanded to hold 100,000 people at this concert. A second remote viewing area on a closed down public beach with giant screens and speaker system holding another 100,000 people! 200,000 people watching a free three-hour live concert! Don't worry I didn't forget the 55.6 million people streaming it live on the Internet! Plus, the special contracted movie theaters worldwide that were streaming it live on the big screens! The performance of the first three songs of the concert mic drops run BTS and run are barely half as long as their 45-minute performances at Asian award shows.
This performance was Live at the BTS concert in Busan, Soth Korea. This actually was the first time performing this song. They wanted to give Army ( their fanbase ) a surprise and trust me they surprised with and excellent performance as always.

Thanks for your enthusiastic reaction. I was lucky enough to be at this concert in Busan- I flew from the UK. This was the second song, the first being Mic Drop, which was just as intense. Their energy levels are through the roof in live performances whether they are rapping or singing ballads, and their choreo is breathtaking. They are the ultimate performers. It was an amazing experience that I am still getting over!💜
they do mix english in their songs, most of their songs have some english words included. their leader RM is the only member that speaks fluent enlgish though they can all speak a bit of enlgish and continue to take lessons, you should check out some more of them you'll be pleasantly surprized!!

The 3 main Rappers also sing, write, produce oh yes and dance, The Four vocalist sing some also write they all dance some also add to the Rap line. Oh I forgot to add RM and Suga where both underground Rappers before they were in BTS That was second song they did as the opened with Mic Drop which is just as hard as Run Bullitproof(BTS) they didn't even stop they just continued to sing rap and dance. This was their latest concert I watched the live feed of it much to my Hubbys dismay. Oh yes and that's the live band you can hear they are at the back of the stage.

Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV. Always watch the MV's to the end! It might be a good idea to ask Army for links for the best performances..... some are not as good as others.
They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more.
To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's.
NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations.
Names: In South Korea and some Asian cultures the surname comes first, then the first name. So RM’s real name is Kim (Surname) Namjoon. Otherwise known as Joonie etc….
Age: They class an unborn child as 1 yr. old at birth, then at New Year’s add on another year. So for example Kim Taehyung (or V) was born Dec 30th 1995, so on 1st January 1996 he was 2 yrs. Old although in reality only a couple of days old! However there seems to be a move to change things to the same as International age. However, when watching their story bear in mind when they mention an age it’s usually 2 yrs. older than we would class it. So actually, 2 yrs. younger from our perspective.

There are no girls in BTS that is Jimin you heard he's a contemporary dancer, hip hop dancer oh and he put's his martial arts skills into some of his dancing.
For the most part, BTS' live performances sound even better than the studio recordings.....PLUS you get to see them dance while they sing. Check out the MMA 2019, 2018, 2021 Asian Music Awards show performances (first one is 39 minutes long but it's nothing like I've ever seen before and I'm an old ARMY).

HOLY CRAP did you open a can of worms asking if you should watch any more BTS videos......I am probably one of the oldest members of ARMY there is.....their talent, precision, work ethic, etc., is why they are the #1 group on the planet. If you really research each individual, they are amazing artists in their own right. They have all done work and cut albums outside of BTS and they have teamed up with some huge artists. SUGA is my dude.....he has an amazing flow and his changes are amazing. HIs "alter ego" is Agust D and he did a trilogy of work and they all look like movies. They are all singers, dancers, composers, and do a lot of producing and writing for other artists, globally, not just Korean. The hottest band on the PLANET and they can't win a Grammy Award.....just goes to show you how "rigged" those award shows are!

No they're not necessarily tired! You should have watched the longer video that has the intro to their concert this is the second song from the beginning of the concert. The concert opened up they came on stage they performed what are their older big hits mic drop when it finished, they went right into this song they're new at one of their newest bait hits from 2022 right after this one they went in to the third song immediately after this one of their hits from about five or six years ago! This is the second song of about a three-hour concert! In a new concert venue in Korea that holds about 80,000 expanded to hold 100,000 people at this concert. A second remote viewing area on a closed down public beach with giant screens and speaker system holding another 100,000 people! 200,000 people watching a free three-hour live concert! Don't worry I didn't forget the 55.6 million people streaming it live on the Internet! Plus, the special contracted movie theaters worldwide that were streaming it live on the big screens! The performance of the first three songs of the concert mic drops run BTS and run are barely half as long as their 45-minute performances at Asian award shows.

This performance was Live at the BTS concert in Busan, Soth Korea. This actually was the first time performing this song. They wanted to give Army ( their fanbase ) a surprise and trust me they surprised with and excellent performance as always.

Thanks for your enthusiastic reaction. I was lucky enough to be at this concert in Busan- I flew from the UK. This was the second song, the first being Mic Drop, which was just as intense. Their energy levels are through the roof in live performances whether they are rapping or singing ballads, and their choreo is breathtaking. They are the ultimate performers. It was an amazing experience that I am still getting over!💜

they do mix english in their songs, most of their songs have some english words included. their leader RM is the only member that speaks fluent enlgish though they can all speak a bit of enlgish and continue to take lessons, you should check out some more of them you'll be pleasantly surprized!!
also, there's 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, they do have rap songs like the Cyper series and Mic Drop and they have solely vocal line songs with balads and etc..they have all different types of music, no song sounds the same.

BTS is knowing for their amazing live performances (so much energy), their amazing lyrics, and their love for their fans (ARMY).
They do a lot of different genres but their base is hip pop. Three rappers and four vocalists. They do write, compose, and/or produce their own music. Along side their in-house producers. (99.9% of their music is written by them)

That was second song they did as the opened with Mic Drop which is just as hard as Run Bullitproof(BTS) they didn't even stop they just continued to sing rap and dance. This was their latest concert I watched the live feed of it much to my Hubbys dismay. Oh yes and that's the live band you can hear they are at the back of the stage.
