She's pretty convincing, otherwise we'd never see something like Nxde, but that doesn't mean she has absolute freedom. We will never know how many times she failed. What we do know is that she has a lot of unpublished songs, and that there were songs that were delayed a couple of years before they were approved. For example, a friend of someone who worked at Queendom relayed the very positive impressions of Soyeon, but also the anecdote where CUBE gave the group a couple of days off, that Soyeon spent working because CUBE rejected some of her songs and told her to make 2-3 new ones.
Cube Entertainment was initially hesitant to approve of Nxde but Soyeon pushed for it because she wanted to change how the word Nude was viewed.
