No, the total cards left would only be 50 after you’ve already taken both cards. The first denominator represents the total number of cards before you draw the first card, while the second denominator represents the total before you draw the second card.
You probably already know this, but you are one of the best teachers I have ever heard. I truly thank you for all the clarity you put into your presentations. In my Math class I feel lost most of the time, and somehow even when I ask the teacher to explain I still don't understand because they are trying to just trying to get through the material quickly. Again I thank you for helping all of us so much! Bless you man!!!
Mr Whitt I sent you a donation. Thank you for everything. I past the math and science section of the CSET. You made a difference. There were three problems on the exam relating to probability. Your teaching style taught me all about probability. I'm sure glad I found you and your videos. Thank you for all your help. Rod G
+Rod Galloway Congratulations Rod and thank you so much for your generosity! It’s always a joy to hear from individuals that have overcome obstacles with the assistance of the videos I’ve posted. Thanks to you I’ll be able to create more and help even more people. Cheers!
Explaining probability concepts can be tricky. Your choice of using playing cards to present such concepts makes it easy to follow. Excellent video for students. Thank you.
I was so grateful to find out how to do this. You are wonderful. I have a test this afternoon, and I get the cards. Now, I need dice (searching for dice). God bless you.
Garlena Junious LOL We get the hint. We'll be adding a Probablility (with Dice) video soon! In the meantime, good luck in your studies and we're happy you found us!
Mr. Whit, you are my teacher. I have improved my word problem solving skills. Your are one of five best teachers I have found in my life ever. It is my request; please provide us lectures on permutations and combinations, please. Thank you Engr. Qaiser
I can’t believe you have Shirley Q Liquor at the beginning of this video. I have met her, and she is one of my idols! Plus, I need help with statistics.
What a fantastic video! I love that it was no-nonsense and truly broke it down in a simple manner for those of us who are learning this topic for the first time or need a refresher. Plus, you added multiple examples from simple to more complex. Absolutely wonderful and makes me feel a whole lot more confident going into my final today. My sincerest gratitude, Sir.
i'm just searching for the video which has explanation along with representation of cards and i jus watched video of urs and completely satisfied thanq thanks alot..........!!!!
You sir are a math king! Now I know what dependent and independent events are, because I used to get confused between the two. During a dependent event, whenever you pick an item in the first event and do not replace it, it affects the second event when you pick another item because the total number of items left will decrease. Thanks for teaching us, and I will continue watching your other videos.
Thank you so much. Am taking statistics in thw fall. Therefore, am preparing for the class. Though, i took statistics about 26years ago and totally forgot indepth. I reallt thank God for coming across your teaching and i appreciates you breaking it down from simple to complex. Very awesome teaching. You are well appreciated.
Hi sir, how are you? I'm originally from Liberia living in Pittsburgh. I subscribed to you about few months now and loving it. You are the best teacher in the world . lol. .... I don't know what I will do if I don't watch your videos. Thank you for what you do and God bless!
Jeepers! This video must have been reset. My LIKE was gone from a few years ago. I had taken an Intro to Statistics Course and was introduced to Playing Card Probabilities there, but recently decided to brush up my knowledge with it before I forget everything. The new books I bought weren't using playing card examples (what!? I thought that was universal. Why ignore such a fertile field from which to draw examples). SO I remembered "Fort Bend Tutoring" in my search and here I'm back again. I LOVE FORT BEND TUTORING. I've been studying MATH as a Retirement Career so in case inflation wipes out my Pension and Social Security can't pay the bills I can get a Certificate to Teach qualified in Math, and I'll be sure to go through refreshers here at FORT BEND TUTORING while I'm doing my lesson plans.
ur AMAZING!!! usually I haaaaate long videos, but when I watched this video ur so engaging and funny make's it pass by so fast! Loved the intro and ending! and of course I learned a lot:) Thank you Keep posting!:)
Thank you. I have never had experience with a deck of cards, so when I was asked to find the probability of drawing a club given that the card is black, I had no idea what to do. It could be difficult to remember what makes up an entire deck, unfortunately. Regardless, this video definitely helped me out. Thanks!
OMG Brittany! I can’t STAAAAAAAAND Statistics! 😂 I’ll eventually upload a few (and I mean a few) more in the future but I don’t know when that will be. Good luck!👨🏾🏫😁

Sir how did u write 51 in denominator time 21:38

@@FortBendTutoring 22:54, the denominator is not 50? thanks!
Would you please do a video on probability of 5 card poker hands such as probability of a pair, 2 pair, 3 of a kind, etc.
