Imagine giving a kid an egg, but getting deja vu because it happened before, only to have said kid alter space and time itself to summon the most powerful person alive into your lab and win out of sheer pity from having no Pokemon.
Just learning about this sequence, I wonder if it'd be faster in a Japanese version of the game since the text scrolls faster. Not sure how that'd manipulate internal memory though. I know this sequence was found for the English version but if it is equally translated to another region, or capable of being translated to that region, then maybe this WR could shrink even more. Grats!
If there is a JPN run it would be seperate (glitchless runs are already seperated on SRC between ENG/JPN, it's just that no one's submitted a JPN manipless or any% run) but idk anything off the top of my head that would make backup corruption impossible to do on a JPN cart. Regarding timesave, there's at least a few seconds that can be shrunk on this run between faster boxes + setting options during ID manip, it's just that any encounter is now an instant run-ender if you're grinding for WR. That said, the Crystal WR and the TAS for this run are much faster using different routes.
@@Wshr Woah, that's cool. Didn't know the English vs Japanese versions would be considered differently. I've always seen them the same in other games. Guess I have a lot to learn about speed running lol. Thanks!
Hey Washer, I'm doing a video explaining the Gold any% run, are you ok if I use some of your footage for the project? Credits will be given in the video of course.
@@Wshr just so you know his explanation video actually brought me here and my mind is blown xDD great run and atleast i actually know now what is going on xDD I'm only still wondering how anyone can figure this out xDD
Just YOLOing, RNG manip involves a save/reset which means timeloss, but any YOLO encounter is also a 12.5 second timeloss. It's very good luck getting a 0-encounter run to Mr. Pokemon, that run was only the 3rd or 4th 0-encounter to get there, as opposed to almost two dozen 1-encounters.
actually this is a new route you only need to hit a 1/3rd frame. there's also an unproven route where you need to hit a ~1/279 frame window which would save 3 minutes.

Those are some crazy manipulations! I love speedruns like this where you're trying to guess what happens next the whole time!
just realized how close you came to the sum off best segments. That makes this run even more insane
I got jumpscared after the whole video being quiet lol
I like how all the tags on the right are labeled as “hell”

Bro broke the sound barrier 8:37 🤣🤣🤣 but nah, great record bro!🔥🔥🔥
Summoning Salt would like to: Know your location
Congrats on the new WR!!

Sounds good, best of luck on the video

Yes it was a good vid 🐬
Your video also brought me here. What a fantastic run to watch now that I understand what’s happening behind the scenes. 👍
@@Ploeppselsame.
so cool
Cool one.
Congratz
Well done 🐬
Bruh wtf did I just watch at the end lmao
Insane dude. In fucking sane. 🙏🏻
WOW.
Thats was so good
Congratulation For This Amazing World Record ! 😸 🐙 🦑 👻 🙈
I imagine how many times you reset for only get Challenged in the grass
how do people even figure this out

this shit looks lioks like a tas speedrun
I dont know shit, but congrats about WR :D
How do people even figure out these glitches?
I didn't understand nothing
th-cam.com/video/DBVnOhVMPMs/w-d-xo.html watch this , this is the whole explanation
I’m jealous that you understand all of that.
Was that good luck getting no wild encounters or rng manipulation?

How do you never get a random encounter?
resets 😐
@@Wshr Oh geez :D How big is the chance to walk through all this grass without getting a random encounter approximately?
@@kjul. It's really low - the amount of 0 encounter (as opposed to 1 or 2+ encounter) runs I got to the end before this I could've counted on 1 hand

thats crazy, the fact you need to land an very precise window thats 1/26th of a frame is insane. Yes I got this from @ScottFalco
