- Dear god what a run, all the grinding over the last few months was worth it.
For those wondering how this run works here's a few timestamps with a more detailed explanation:
0:07-0:35 is manipulating the trainer ID, wrong-warps will not work in this route without the specific ID 09705. Manip requires a few buffered inputs and and hitting a four-frame window
3:19-3:59 is writing code using PC Box names that the game will later execute to wrong-warp to Red, alongside removing the Pokemon menu to skip any encounters/fights
4:35 First save of the run, right before you get the Pokedex, after successful collision/corruption attempts the Pokedex will show up in the menu despite not obtaining it in this save (7:01)
5:52 Second save of the run, after you get the Pokedex, if you hit a 1/3-frame window resetting during the save you can collide this save with the first one
6:06-6:55 Third save of the run, after starting a new game, if you hit an eight-frame window resetting during this save you can corrupt the previous two saves.
7:58- is setting up the wrong-warp, wrong-warping to Red, and skipping the fight due to not having any Pokemon
Route used is the standard Backup Collision Route (pokemon-speedr... ). Boxes are from entrpntr's ( / entrpntr ) notes (pastebin.com/x... ).
I tinkered with the volume a few times here: during resets because Flowtimer is a bit loud, and after the run for obvious reasons (-32.5 dB popoff xd)

Imagine giving a kid an egg, but getting deja vu because it happened before, only to have said kid alter space and time itself to summon the most powerful person alive into your lab and win out of sheer pity from having no Pokemon.

Was that good luck getting no wild encounters or rng manipulation?
Just YOLOing, RNG manip involves a save/reset which means timeloss, but any YOLO encounter is also a 12.5 second timeloss. It's very good luck getting a 0-encounter run to Mr. Pokemon, that run was only the 3rd or 4th 0-encounter to get there, as opposed to almost two dozen 1-encounters.

@@kjul. It's really low - the amount of 0 encounter (as opposed to 1 or 2+ encounter) runs I got to the end before this I could've counted on 1 hand

Just learning about this sequence, I wonder if it'd be faster in a Japanese version of the game since the text scrolls faster. Not sure how that'd manipulate internal memory though. I know this sequence was found for the English version but if it is equally translated to another region, or capable of being translated to that region, then maybe this WR could shrink even more. Grats!
If there is a JPN run it would be seperate (glitchless runs are already seperated on SRC between ENG/JPN, it's just that no one's submitted a JPN manipless or any% run) but idk anything off the top of my head that would make backup corruption impossible to do on a JPN cart.
Regarding timesave, there's at least a few seconds that can be shrunk on this run between faster boxes + setting options during ID manip, it's just that any encounter is now an instant run-ender if you're grinding for WR. That said, the Crystal WR and the TAS for this run are much faster using different routes.

thats crazy, the fact you need to land an very precise window thats 1/26th of a frame is insane. Yes I got this from @ScottFalco
actually this is a new route you only need to hit a 1/3rd frame. there's also an unproven route where you need to hit a ~1/279 frame window which would save 3 minutes.
