    Ricardo, as i can see you have a Trinity 3x150 Off road setup.
    Powerslide sells a wheel named Roadrunner 150 wich is made for rolling fast on this setup on ashpalt.
    Would be nice to watch you skating these wheels.
    PS should send you a set.

    Good topic! I'm actually eyeing up the Kaze and Next myself - recently went to my local shop to try them on. I currently own the Imperial, USD Aeon and Carbon, and have skated all of em pretty extensively.
    With the Next (EDIT: I was only able to try a size that may have been too big for me), i found the toebox quite tall, wide and generally high volume, but the mid and rear parts of the boot felt quite narrow. I have skinny ankles so that was great for me but my feet splay out fairly early in along the foot so i felt pressure points in the middle portion of the boot. My Aeons are a pretty sweet fit, the boot is quite wide and flat, and the wide lacing i think does a good job of giving up any extra volume the rest of my foot needs.
    This is great for control in my eyes cause i don't like having space for my toes to poke up before i lift the front of the boot when i'm noodling my way through town. For this reason i stuck a fairly thick rubber insole from some sneakers in my imperials to keep my toe against the top of the boot (but obviously that comes with the downside of lifting my whole foot up about 4mm). Kaze feels like a dream and i'm almost certainly getting a pair as soon as I can! Unless i'm feeling extra fancy and go for the HC/Tau....

    Appreciate the sizing help. Mostly now i go off CM for sizing. My foot being 27-27.5 cm. I really want to get the next and think the 42-43 will be best now. I typically have to get a 44 in skates. Sizing is such a headache without a shop close and not being able to try things on.

    I wish I was able to find good information for people with wide feet like me earlier (my foot is roughly 115mm wide and 267mm long if I recall correctly). A year ago I bought a pair of Kaze Supercruisers as a first skate. I thought a lot about size and ended up getting the largest skate available without it getting too long for my foot. Since then I've tried to practice inline skating but the boot was just far too uncomfortable and by time I realized it was too late to return them.
    Now I'm stuck with a skate I can't use and I'm having a difficult time selling them. Not to mention I still don't know what skate would work for me if I ever tried again, because I really want to get into inline skating.
    Anyway, thanks for the video as always, Lino

      I also have very wide feet and I bought many skates until I found the right ones. I recommend Seba Trix 2. Lower part of the boot is made of real leather which stretches and conforms to the shape of the foot. Two hours of skating is enough to brake them in. Also Seba is great for pronation correction.

      I feel your pain. I recently bought a pair of Roces M12 and I've been told to buy 1 size up so I did since they're made unusually tight. I've tried breaking them in and came to the conclusion roces M12 are too painful and the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn. Can't even return them now with scratches. I'm praying the Next 100 fits comfy🙏

    I've just recently picked up the next. I enjoy them. Length wise I am noticing some pressure in the toes particular on little (pinky) toe. I picked up the 44-45. And when I first put on the boot a littleI do also feel some pressure on my instep it subsides after a few pushes. I am not too sure what that is about. For me these two things are not causing issues or serious pain, so with all I said. I can honestly still say I am enjoying this skate a lot.

    • @KirraZirra
      @KirraZirra 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@drjinx I will say. I hadn't had the skate all that long at the point I had commented. I always kind of had a little more discomfort in that skate. Nothing that was unbearable but compared to the right skate vs the left. (Discomfort in the left one). I believe I wore the skate in pretty good causing the majority of discomfort to go away. Oh also I started wearing skate socks to help with moisture/friction.

    If I were to criticise, I'd say to try and be consistent about the way you talk about the relation between the width (and contours or volume if you're gonna go into that detail) of the boot with the length of the boot - I did get a little lost with what you meant when you were talking about your Kazes. For yourself and anyone out there - Brannock devices are great tools that you can get lots of info from - length, width, arch length of the foot that'll certainly help you talk about, buy and sell skates.
    Much love, Lino and keep the good vibes coming!

  • @izzyg8316
    @izzyg8316 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you're in-between sizes, won't dual size fit may come off as a problem though?
    For example, I'm 24-24,5cm with 9,5cm width; that's usually equivalent to a 38-39. Yet, Powerslide Imperials are sized 37/38 | 39/40 - won't I run the risk of one size being too small and the other being too big? The dual size fit used on the new NEXT skates appears to be a "better fit" in my particular case, since I'll be having a 38/39 boot.
    Also, any chance you could make a "how they fit comparison" video between various inline skates brands? That would be super helpful for people who, like me, are looking to buy some skates but don't have inline skate stores in their country to try out these more expensive brands. Much appreciated. Greetings from Portugal.

      Pat hi pat, i choose the 44/45 in the end and they fit perfect..i usually wear a eu 44 in street shoes and the nexts in 44/45 fit great..when u warm the liner (hairdryer or owen) or just break them in while riding the toe box does extend, but i found that u shoud not heatmold the shell..the toe box i find comfortably wide and i would suggest u to go for the 44/45 for a more „snug“ feeling, cause i think the 46/47 might be to roomy in the end..i skate the usd aeons in 43/44 and they also feel great...also got to add sock thickness to your feet lenght in order to measure lenghts...hope this helps ^^ but i think if u would rather go for more space to not risk u could add in some extra baseboard plates (from ski boot fitting) heel riser/shock pad to reduce some volume between shell and liner...the nexts are greaaat ;)

    Ricardo i just bought Imperial one as 43 ( 27cm feet , 27.5 with socks ) so i bought 43-44 and im bit concerned after break in they might get actually big. I do not know what is the case but i am thinking to return and check Next. The issue is that i have narrow feet. 42-43 NEXT seems ideal as far as length goes but if are wider than Imperial i might have the opposite problem. What do you recommend for a user like me who has 27cm feet / 27.5cm with socks narrow feet ? Drop powerslide all together ? Try 42-43 next or you think should i keep imperial which are 27.8 to 28.6 lenght and you think i wont have problems after they break in ? Im so confused with double sizes etc. Thanks in advance.
    PS : My heel is not moving, maybe just a little bit when i bend knees to extreme but i cant notice it and with fat liner and kinda thick sock it seems lenght isnt an issue but if liner or skate break in as much as 0.5mm in the future as many people saying all over internet, i think might be overkill . I am newcomer and i own Imperials like a day now, so any tip will help alot. I dont wanna end up with skates that will cause blisters or any kind of problems as many mention. Thanks again

    I wear a US11 and have a pretty wide foot.

    The toe box is nice and wide, compared to other skates.
    And my toes are right near the end, about 2cm away.

    As i've already said in my NEXTs review (and yeah i've already got stock Nexts for more than a month ), I've used all the procedures from Powerslide website in measuring foot size, and ordered a corresponded size (it was 40-41 for me, although I'm usually using 42) and it was a little bit smaller for me. I feel some pressure in the toes. So i guess tables on PS website is not very precise.
    I've also just talked with one of my subbies about the ankle fixation and we both think that it's not enough (it's very hard to tighten it to the comfortable point ). What do you think about it?

    I ordered the Next, because i have very wide feet. Every shoe i own is a 43 but nevertheless this shoe is kind of too small. My left midfoot hurts on the outside. Will the shoe get wider? I dont want to order 44-45 because i tend to 42, I only wear 43 because of my wide foot.

    I want to buy a pair of powerslide skates because I have heard so many great things about them. The nearest store where I could try them on, is 2,000 miles away. I have just begun skating this year, and will buy recreational skates with 80mm wheel size. I am a woman and have a wide toe box with a high arch and instep. I usually take a size 8 in US womens shoe. Which powerslide skate would you recommend for me? I would be open to buying a man's size because I heard that powerslide tend to be narrow and maybe more narrow in womens sizes (don't know that for sure). Of course, buying a mens size would mean that the ankle may be too big for me, but I could add some footies to add volume to my foot. Any ideas you have will be greatly appreciated.

    Got myself a pair of metropolis, and size is perfect as i always pick between 44 or 45 and the double size was 44/45. It was really a selling point since i bought them online and couldn't try them before.

    What about the gaps between the liner n the shell? Which hard shelled boot has least gap between the liner n boot near heel n toe and the space on top of the foot??

    • @RicardoLino
      @RicardoLino  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well.. those spaces can always be changed with a thicker liner. but usually the imperial have a lower toe area then the NEXT for the "same size"

    Hi Ricardo, my feet are 37½. Normally I'll take 38 size for my skates. Based on your experience on EVO, do you think I should take size 37 for EVO?

    Hi Ricardo. I wanted to ask you since you've already made a video about it. I ordered a pair of Next Pro 110. My size is 41EU, my foot is about 259mm but the chart insn't equal on all the skateshop websites. I ordered in France and the chart says 265mm Max in 40-41. Isn't it going to be painful or too tight ?
    Thanks in advance and thanks for the awesome video

    • @lecommis6842
      @lecommis6842 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Camiagoo well first of all, Powerslide skates sizes very, and I mean very small. I couldn't even get my foot into the boot because the ankle part was way too tight. And I have thin feet for a man my size. So I had to return them. If you're a 41, take a size 42-43

      I got a pair of powerslide Swell Nite 125, size 42, they were too tight to my wide foot. I started a return to get a size up. 43 I guess would fit ok to me. BTW, it was a very painful experience 😢 why was that? Anyone with the same experience using those skates ? I believe the shape of the skate made me feel uncomfortable.
