Bra, every channel plays a important part. 0, 3, and 2 are the stars, wile 1, 4, and 7 is the backbone and the rest is the Bass. It the key of music guys. Peace
@@upwaveflash8429 its not tho, on a very loose way vaporwave is specifically reusing old pieces of music / recordings to make a new body of work that defies the nature those bodies of work were originally made in
I can already imagine this remixed, maybe, to the stock Sega Genesis. Maybe replacing the Channel 2 percussion to PSG 3 noise, as well, though. EDIT: And using the DAC for Channel 4's percussion, plus one of the YM2612 channels for that sine wave for the percussion, as well/too.
It’s interesting how channels 0,3 and 7 kinda represent the western mountain background from that stage, while the channels 1, 2, 4 and 5 are representing the construction going on in the foreground! What do you guys think!
If anyone is wondering how SEGA got away with more than 7 notes across 7 channels, it's actually surprisingly simple. They had seemingly recorded multiple vaporwaves in one recording to use as one sample, and repeated that for more unique chord combinations. What you get is around 3 or 4 notes in a single channel. In other words, Channel 0 is playing stacked vaporwaves.
Channel 3 - Your Love / Fargetta feat Lorna (I think this was sampled too from another song) Channel 0 - Pacific State / 808 State (1989) I can't find the other ones.
I was wondering why it sounded to familiar to me. I'm glad someone here was cultured enough to say it sounds like Pacific State and thus satiate my curiosity.
Most old songs in Sonic history have been taken Jackswing inspirations. But Sonic CD Japanese OST is full of house inspiration. From Acid to Ambient. And I remember that a LOT of House/Techno singles were pretty famous in Japan during the 90s (Avex Rave, Juliana's, Velfarre and stuff). I think the most used sample collection by japanese DJs to this day is Skip to My Loops, and a LOT of Sonic samples came from this CD. These samples came mostly from House, Gospel and Black music before the 80s.
Channel 0 is my favorite part of the song.
Yeah

It's amazing how team 0 3 and 7 can sound so soft and soothing, while 1, 2, 4, and 5 are so mechanical and energetic.
Reflective of the stage setting itself
I actually don't find it soothing. It sounds like grinding music
Adam Roth They sound juxtaposed

I need to stop putting off buying a harmonica.
Is that meant to be a harmonica?
@K-leb channel 3 but obviously it’s in a soundfont so it doesn’t sound like a regular harmonica
If you make a video of your playing channel 3 on a harmonica....just take my subscription on your channel
