Nothing bad came of it, bouphe was too young to care about financial gain and her parents were likely just glad she didn't get a disease. Also maybe by the time anyone considered trying to make a legal case too much time had passed. You'd have a hard time arguing that in court if it was like 5+ years after the fact.
@@mannmctrash Again even if her parents were the biggest hippies in the world and don't care about money. They went to the NHS they didn't lie about where she got the injury from. Due to the circumstances duty of care and her age. This would be malpractice case there would be no way to stop the police from pursuing the case. Even if the parents didn't want to pursue and they got her to sign a form. Just because nothing bad came out of it doesn't make it any less serious !

My mother had to go to court because someone dinged her car, there was CCTV of the event and witnesses who spoke to the police and it STILL took 6 months! And she says it was the most stressful time of her life. A lawsuit of the magnitude you're suggesting would also cost a huge amount of money, and the defendants would want to stall, it'd be such a huge weight on their minds so it's no surprise they just counted their blessings and moved on. Also as I said, if they went to court a week after it happened then fine. Doing it years later would lead to; "So you want us to make them give you thousands of pounds for something that happened that long ago, and that there is no visible illness or scarring to prove it?"
