It´s not a matter of hiring Ralf back believe me Kai asked him many times but oooh Ralf has a mind of his own You know? He would fit perfectly into Rays but he fits perfectly in Primal Fear and that´s the band he like to stay with. How cool or nice or awesome or what the F ever it would be to see Ralf in Rays again it just ain´t gonna happen, so... how about starting to listen some real badass german powermetal from Primal Fear. Sorry to say but they really outrun today contition´s Gamma Ray big time.
This is so awesome!! I got into Gamma Ray back in 1992 here in America when Heavy Metal was out of fashion big time at 14 years old. The lead singer Ralph Scheepers instantly reminded me of Rob Halford and the music was phenomenal as well. Gamma Ray became one of my favorite bands and in my opinion they were putting out better albums than Helloween was in the 90's. Tim Owens is a great lead singer, but Ralph Scheepers should have gotten the job instead. I always felt like Judas Priest made a huge mistake, but it would not have mattered anyway because Rob Halford was destined to return to Judas Priest which means Ralph would have to find a new band . We never would have gotten Primal Fear which in my opinion was more Judas Priest than the actual Judas Priest. It all worked out for the best. It even worked out for Gamma Ray because it was the return of Kai Hansen being a lead singer again, and in my opinion Land Of The Free is their best album ever and it is the first album that Kai Hansen sang on as the new lead singer for Gamma Ray. It would be awesome if Gamma Ray did a tour with Primal Fear some time in the future and that Ralph would join Gamma Ray on stage and sing with them because he really was a perfect fit for them. Every album they did with Ralph was better every time. Insanity And Genius is a MASTERPIECE .
I don't even have to watch the full video to say that I would pull my left arm out to witness this live. Even though Ralf has lost a bit of his vocal power as the years passed (sometimes he screams way too much in Primal Fear, though I love that too), he can easily handle all Gamma Ray material!
Ultra late response, so sorry about that, but I honestly like Ralf's singing more nowadays than before. I don't know, I feel he uses more of his astounding vocal range than he did before.
+Nachoo Humphreys, Totally agree. I suppose he's also a great teacher and he's gaining from that... Edit: I meant technically, cos I absolutely love his old style as well, very raw and then smooth at the same time, magic... Plus he's 52 now! @.@ Unbelievable :)

El sonido del lugar no era el mejor pero Ralf mientras estuvo en Gamma cantaba al 100% y ya en Primal Fear se supero al ,1000% a lo mejor en esa canción estaba algo cansado pero este cantante jamas ha estado fuera de tono

I believe that Primal Fear is on the same level if not higher as Gamma Ray nowadays... so Ralf would certainly give priority to his own band
