I’m happy for the guy ultimately but I been around since the 80’s. It’s all about context. Come correct or don’t come at all. He wouldn’t have needed to apologize on the record if that was the case. He did so because he “now” understands the consequences of such a claim. I want to see him win but only in the right way and that begins with paying homage to those that paved the way. AnigmaDaKing dude I’m a real jacquess fan, it’s nothing you can tell me about him. In the initial video he first put out with him saying he was the “king of r&b” he clearly said FOR THIS GENERATION. Ion know where you getting your facts from but you need to do your homework again. The world just wanted to make something out of it so they twisted everything up like they doing everything else to make a storyline. The video is actually on his instagram right now. You may wanna go see for yourself and then come talk facts.
Rickey May thats where you have the up on me! I’m not of your generation and I pay homage to the guy. I respect his talent but i come from an era of respect and homage. You can dress it how you choose my point remains. No one walks on a stage and claims a title without going through it the right way. Again, it may state what you say now but the masses wouldn’t take offense to it unless it was stated correctly from day one. I want him to win and I want him to succeed. I’m not hating on him at all but you gon come correct and earn that. That’s all I’m saying. Time will tell and his project will showcase that talent so we’ll see. My comment wasn’t a diss.
