Yeah, love the air beds, in years of greenhouse and propagation I wasn't aware of this technique. As someone who is also producing for large scale projects I can see this is a huge asset, save in soil, pots space, all of the labor of potting and potting up, weeding individual pots, for sure my whole system just got an upgrade. Much thanks for the quality shares and work 🙏

Amazing thank you ! Air beds would also be great if you don’t have land yet but want to have fruit trees ready for when you do? This is so much better than all my pots :)

That's true depending how long until you getting land 1 year probably the max. As if leave for longer they will get wider side roots and get really tangled with each other.
Which could lead them fighting for nutrients and be hard separate and when separating when entangled some won't survive the shock

Love all your videos and your excitement. First time I see these air beds, awesome!! Syntropic is just such Gold!!! Love to see more videos. We have a smaller system near Brisbane in a more drought area.
Always new things to learn and get excited about :-)!!!!
PS: Didn't know I can make cuttings of papaya trees. Never heard it before. Yay. Thank you!!! I try that.

awesome video!! i have some question. how do you take the seedlings from the air bed to the soil, doest the roots intertwine with each other? also i have read that developing a strog tap root in dry climates maximizes plant acces to water, does ths method affect that?

Depending on type plant it's best graft variety you wzmt if don't want wait long time for fruit or the fruit is slightly different to completely different then seed Depending on type tree.
But the grafting process could easily be done after they planted as the stems need get to certain diameter before grafting

I have a few dozen sprouted chestnuts in my fridge, would it make sense to transfer them to an air prune bed? It's around 30°C here now, should I let the sprouts acclimatize first, let's say at room temperature? Btw I think prune beds are a great space-saving idea! I was planning to buy my own place with lots of land this Spring (northern hemisphere), but due to family circumstances I'm stuck in a village helping my mother for a few more months. I have been growing trees from seed in containers, but the mice, the squirrels and other assorted fauna are giving me a hard time ;-). Much love from Belgium!

      Misunderstanding...
I thought that the existing wire net should remain and that a metal mosquito net should be placed instead of the shade cloth/net...
Because of the durability of the material, even more so because of avoiding the use of plastic...
I like the idea itself and will definitely try it out (with metal mosquito net 😉)...
