I know Murphy, the story is true. He (Crowe) had just finished filming a movie and was partying at the bar. He wasn't smoking a cig. though. That was the problem...
... that is beautifully awesome. But if he started smoking cigars I might love Crowe even more, and it would become borderline obsessive... But thanks for the confirmation :)
OMG I hope they are better in person. After 1st 3 1/2 minutes this guy and his " story" reached the pain threshold for me. He left me caring less whether "story" was true or not, had to leave or cut my own throat. Can't remember seeing a performer on stage with worse Stage Presence, Timing or Delivery. For his sake I hope he was at least drunk that might explain some of the lack of professionalism. He can't tell a story, it was Not funny, Not entertaining , Not even interesting. Perhaps if you are utterly shitfaced drunk it would make a difference other wise, click on through this clip. You'll never get these 6 1/2 minutes back. The guy with his arms folded next to him on stage says it all.
My wife & I have seen these guys several times and they get better every time we see them, great group.
Wow I'm Irish and will drink whiskey all though this song!!
I dig this band. Great music.
Lots of hits. No pun intended.
it really is real.. It was at O'Brien's Irish Pub on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica... there are many people that can back it up
As an Australian, all good mate, he's a kiwi.
Saw them at Celtic Fest in Dayton 2 days ago. It was awesome!
Never have I been prouder to be of Irish descent
In my experience, true stories tend to be told slightly different every time because they aren't rehearsed.
See this band live!😅

Yes the song is based on actual events. I mean are you calling him a Liar, cause Irishmen don't ever lie eh!
I'm curious what Crowe has to say about this song.
I think it is, he changes it up a little each time but its still ends the same pretty much with him running.
Thumbs up if you saw these guys preform at the Lowell Music Series in Lowell Massachusetts!!
