- Here's my full guitar cover of the 24 minute masterpiece A Change Of Seasons by Dream Theater!
ALL of the guitars in this are performed by me. I recorded with the original stems and replaced all of Petrucci's parts. I tried to stay as accurate as possible to the original.
This was a beast to put together, but it was so fun to properly learn this incredible song!

Thank you! It took me a while to figure out but I came up with a good compromise for the intro without needing a 7 string acoustic.

Why buy a 7 string acoustic guitar to play the acoustic intro when you can just take out the G for a low B string. Nice idea, man!
Thanks! It took me a while to work out the intro, but I think I found a good compromise. I'll probably do a lesson on the intro, as I haven't seen a great version of it done on a 6 string.
I actually bought an Ibanez 7 string acoustic just for this song 😂

Oh my lord this is so fucking amazing, i love this song from the bottom of my heart. Its the song which caused me to get to know Dream Theater and it was the Song which brought me to buy a 7 String probably one of my best decisions ever. I can't get enough of this masterpiece its literally a journey trough all emotions. Keep up the good work and i definetly need to cover this beast aswell. Its a must have in your prog metal music catalouge imo

Haven't listened to this song all the way in a while. Great job! So many cool chords used throughout. You crushed the later 2 solos too. I think you captured Petrucci's tone and feel really well. Not easy to do on these ones. Surprisingly, I think my favorite part is the little slide lick transition at 17:00. Something about it is really cool to me.

Very nice cover, but the intro part is not played on a tuned-down acoustic, it's regular 7-string electric.
@@Surmoka I did double it with electric. Plus I think he was using a piezo, so I felt it sounded more like original on acoustic since I don’t have an electric with a piezo
